The classic rangers look great, I like the camo pattern.

I love the Harlequins, I just sold off a ton of old metal ones I have in storage for ages.

There's just something about the old metal sculpts...
Something the new stuff often falls to achieve.

Back in the day, Death Jesters were my favorite Harlequins, both because they carried heavy weapons and because they were much easier to paint than Troupers.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with these latest dudes.

I'm getting all nostalgic and weepy- Eldar and Harlies were my first army in 1988- I never did a very good job painting them and have a natural attraction for the Imperial Guard to boot, so nothing much ever came of those first efforts. I live vicariously for 'what might have been' through the Cap'n. Very nice painting- as good or better as ever showed up in White Dwarf!

Your painting does an excellent job of bringing fresh life to some vintage goodness! I particularly like the ombre effect on the plumes, that's a very nice touch.

I now have to decide whether to do another five troop members of some more specialists. I think another troop might be the way to go while the process is still fresh and look at the specialists to do some variation on the scheme.

I like how you did your blues. Are you using a sponge to get that effect?

Thank you Tommygun1918 and Not Online!!!. I would love to take credit, but it was more of a happy accident. After priming I apply a base of True Blue (an old Ral Partha color), then I apply a wash of water and blue ink with a very, very small about of dish soap (I but a drop into the full jar years ago), and this makes that cloud pattern. Once it is dry I add another little bit in the darker patches with some more ink,

Heavy weapon platforms are excellent CB! The technique is very cool, might have to try that out with a different scheme..
