I love a challenge in any game system I play and seek out the worst army in that system and try to win. Did that with Zerkova (sp) in MKII Warmachine, 5th edition Tau and pure Tac marines in 9th.

I was steering toward Greeks since the very limited AT and Vet infantry options. But if there is a worse army I would love to hear which one you think and why.

Really any minor ally is going to be rough, as they’re both early war and very limited. Norwegians, Belgians, etc. some even have army rules which make them somehow worse.

Norway looks by far the worst. Access to really only one true AT weapon and that is their only Vet unit with AT grenades. No tanks, no AT guns and not even a good howitzer. The only saving grace is that they can spam motorized infantry but a army with dual LMGs can mow down that list and their transports. Yes, they have access to an arty observer but give me a Veteran FT-17 over an observer.

I think partisans might be for you. I am not sure if they are the worst, they do have a few things going for them, but at their heart they are a civilian force who lack a lot of tools. They have no tanks unless you want unreliable looted light tanks, and have the smallest caliber of most field artillery, if at all.

What they do have is access to cheap bodies, transports, and small arms... and of course rules that allow you to infiltrate en masse and plant bombs on objectives that makes them unbelievably fun.

China might also be worth a look.

Partisans do have access to AT weapons more than just AT nades. Flamethrowers, PIATs, Bazooka and panzerfausts. Now, China might be an interesting option.

Now I was reading Gigant book last night and wish they would let the IRA Brigade to be ran as an actual 1250 army. They truly suck the short one and even if you maxed out two platoons with MKIV tanks you are like 5 or 10 points shy of 1000 points.

You could also play late war Germans and take a veteran King Tiger. At 666 pts it leaves you very little to spend on anything else.

Tempting to take a Vet KT but I think I have the worst list for a tournament. I will post it here later in the morning.
