Hmm. Not as good as I hoped. The humans look OK, and a pretty good "gaming standard", much the same as I'd do myself for "grunts", but the alien thingies look a tad disappointing. All depends how much they charge for these muthas...

They look good, esp for prepainted figures.
Are they metal or plastic? And if plastic soft heroclix or hard?

Plastic. I am not sure if they are hard or soft plastic. I seem to recall someone saying that they are harder plastic than the D&D minis

Ah, that will be a good thing. Hopefully they also won't have any wierd sealer or anything that makes it a pain in the arse to paint over them as I'd definitely want to touch up those paint jobs. Pretty good for pre-painted though. I'm wondering how competetive the pricing will be and if the armies will be sold as WYSIWYG (and not in that terrible CMG random-figure box format, like D&D).

I think the aliens are really nice, but the humans are pretty bad. I'll never buy that stuff retail because I have enough things I don't use, but maybe I'll end up caving in if it goes on sale.
