they're starting out with the Jaffa and then moving onto more when they get approval from MGM

Exalt!

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Mixed emotions. Not a fan of the movie or shows, but I think the minis are a great idea.

I wonder how they'll do that head swirly guy...

It would be nice to see a BSG fleet combat game, but it would be a better CCG.

Hail Anubis!

Hallowed are the Ori!

And all that...

Finally! Jaffa models. I hope we get Anubis Guards and Kull Warriors, along with Staff Cannon emplacements and a proper scale Strargate.

THIS IS FRIGGIN AWESOME o_o

I've been waiting so long to come across some stargate mimatures...

Unfortunatly the series started to suck right around the time of Anubis being the focus of everything...and that SG Atlantus dosn't exsist in my book at all.

Sweet, I just picked up the first 5 seasons of stargate to make up for what i missed when it was on.
These will make great thrall wizards for my thousand sons if the game is no good.

Interesting, but would you really want models that attended the stormtrooper school of marksmenship?

Whizkids makes a BSG CCG.  I don't know much about it other than that I have a Starbuck card somewhere.

That's not their fault. Jaffa are essentially firing polearms from the hip. As 'The Warrior' proved, Staff Weapons are junk. They're made to go bang and scare people who's idea of technology is an axe, not for real combat.

yeah, the Jaffa are tooled more to be intimidating rather than effective in tacticle combat.  the staff weapon is powerful, but not accurate or stealthy.  it doesn't run out of ammo and can be used for decades, but those features don't outweigh it's drawbacks.  that and the Jaffa normally have big bulky helments on that can't do anything to help their accuracy.

Yeah, staff weapons are for terror; I think there are a few elite "killing" men in each unit that are good with firing.

But they don't really need to have accuracy anyways -- they terrorize the hell out of ressitance and they do have large numbers.

Does this go with a game or is it just mini's without a particular game?
