Can someone please quote from the rulebook the fluff around a cleanse mission? I want to know why you want to grab quarters, and there's not a rulebook within kilometers from here.

For eg, IIRC, the fluff for take and hold is that there's something significant in the middle.

Cleanse is a mission to clear the area of enemy influence and claim territory.

Direct quote: Both sides are attempting to sweep the area clean of opposing troops.  Roving forces should be on the lookout to seek and destroy any enemies they encounter.  Wow, I was pretty close just off-handed.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
