fantastic work as ever....as for the spine i vote bone. bone for the bioloical part of the machine, if you see what i mean. actually if you could, id try to do a diseased, infected...rotting bone...maybe even slightly crumbling. that would b cool. there has to be pictures of such things online....
either way, im sure it will rock!

The Defiler is pretty much finished, just waiting for the water effects on the base to dry before I glue it on the base. I got a few more pictures, the first one is kind of bad but the second one shows the back really well.

I also painted up 2 obliterators today. Nothing special but they're ready for battle(minus a bit of tidying up on the base rim.)

That defiler is full-tilt incredible. Amazing work, in concept, modeling, and painting.

Wow man. Paint job on the Defiler is fantastic. The skin and flesh are beautiful. Very well done.

Yeah, buddy. I'm loving the Kharn-head on the Oblits. Sweet work. And the spine detail on the Defiler! Awesome!

Not to disparage the fine working ladies of Nevada, but at least the Thunderhawk has less of a chance of giving you crabs. I'm not saying it's impossible, just unlikely. - Nerf_IG

I love your defiler. He reminds me allot of the strog from the quake games. Awesome, and gruesome all at the same time. And im gunna agree with everyone that the Kharn head on the oblits is very nice.

Cheers guys, I was hesitant to post up another set of pics of the Defiler as I'm sure people would like to see something new, but since I don't have anything substantial to post for the time being, I thought I'd post pics of the defiler with it's finished base.

I'm almost done converting my dread so I should have pics of that up soon. Followed by another 20 FW DG marines thanks to our fellow Dakka member LittleLeadMen.

That Defiler is so disgusting!!! Great work, both in terms of the bitz and conversion and the paint. I think the sickly green on the base is too dominant and lacks the depth of the rest of the model, so that to me would be the area to look into in the future.

Keep up the good work and keep sharing!

Cadaver this is trult.......... well....................... sickening...................................... Granfather Nurgle would be proud of ur work................. Though I don't like one thing and this prolly 'cause I'm stuck in the heresey times of The Flight of Einsteain (Totally mispelled I just know it) but back in the day manreapers (plague reapers, scythes, whatever you want to call them) were only allowed to be used by Mortarion, the Deathshroud (mort's bodyguard), and very few of his chosen.......... So bassically I'm saying I don't like ur overuse of the manreaper, but otherwise I find your army truly sickening (once again in the good way).

I love this army. Every model has bags of character.

Any chance of a group shot of what's done so far?

Amazing. I have 2 questions-

What are/where did the wings on the Daemon Prince come from? What do you do to make the pustules on the defiler torso?

I need to get a few more things painted and then I'll put up a group shot.

The wings are from a WFB Tomb Kings Carrion. The pustules and other stuff on the torso is greenstuff. If you go back a few pages in the log you can see some WIP pics of the conversions and sculpting work.

Here's my Plaguereaper, which is pretty much completed. I'm considering selling this model just because I don't really play much Apocalypse. I haven't decided if I'll paint it first or not. Anyway, here it is:

Nice use of the Corpse Cart bitz, and the bubbling vats in the back look sick.
