Subject: Re:Show off your painted Deadzone (and Warpath) minis!
Really gakky time of day to take photos and I can't get the light right, but I was heading out and on a deadline for the competition I paint in. A few things need a touch up though, paint just refuses to stick to metal minis, even Vallejo primer just comes right off in my hands, part of why I prefer plastic, resin and even restic to metal in 95% of all circumstances.
Spoiler:
Bjarn Starnafall
Sgt. Howlett
Chief Radgrad
Aqissiaq
The Survivor
Nem Rath
Boomer
Chovar Psychic
Eddak P'Meara
Hard to paint, and harder to photograph Australian flag on the shoulder of the Survivor for the monthly competition challenge
Nice work all around, NTrabbit. The Sphyr plague is my favorite (her name was changed at some point and now I can't remember what it ended up as). Dusky, dingy, wasted looking blue flesh for a nice understated look that suits the figure better than any other scheme I've seen so far. She comes off as a credible threat, not cartoony or garish.

I feel bad; as the creator of this 46 page monstrosity, I haven't been posting!
Nice job, all around, I need to get back into my Deadzone. I've actually gone a bit heretical and been painting my Warriors of Chaos for Warhammer 8th edition and 6th edition!!
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

And a bit more:
. A pair of test Zombies for my DZ diorama, speed-painted but hopefully still decent. Not yet decided how they'll be based.
I'll need a least a dozen of these blighters for the dio, and 2-3 times that many if I ever want to play solo DZ, so I needed something easily replicated and fast. Lots of washes and drybushes, and I used glossy-ish paint for the flesh as a) its creepy and b) it doesn't need much highlighting.
And to kick their asses, an Enforcer Assault Trooper. The head is a spare Sefadu one that I see as the Enforcer equivalent of a MkVI 'beaky', the jetpack plumes are those leaves I bought for the KemVar glued to wire and painted over.

I'm still working on a decent all round board to play my deadzone games, I need to work out what are some of the best all round useful and interesting scenery combinations with the scenery tiles, while we wait for the new kits to be released how about everybody shares some of their best scenery builds for their deadzone games?

3 buildings done, got one last building to do which will be a large landing pad.
And a few close up shots, Forge Fathers make their way through a ruined settlement looking for abandoned loot unaware that Enforcers are still active in this sector:
The SPEC.T.E.R sniper wraith lines up for a shot on the leader of the heavily armoured squad.
But even the enforcers aren't safe in the ruins.

Thanks, yeah the ruined sections are fantastic, really give a lot of customization options, make the board a little more open and generally look pretty awesome.
