Sure it is. There is a time opportunity cost. The time opportunity cost for me to build a computer is prohibitive.
-Time to research where to research on how to put computers together- 5 hours
-Time to study how to put computers together: a year?
-Time to research what parts are needed-5 hours
-Time to go to store to get parts - 1.5 hours
-Time spent putting together a new paper weight-25-80 hours (actually 15 minutes before I take it out back and deal with it with an assortment of firearms, bats, swords, lawn mower neighborhood kids etc)
-Time to go to store to get computer replacement-45 minutes.
And I could have avoided all that by buying the cheap knockoff in the first place
OTT but pray for the future owners of the house we are helping build this weekend for Habitat for Humanity. Talk about an incompetent crew...
