yeah thats one of the signs to look out for and another is that people will stop complaining about marine armies not being balanced and to cheap.

in my op for a single ic a Dark Eldar Archon any day of the week

shadow field, punisher tormentor helm combat drugs animus vitae trophy rack gruesome talisman plasma grenades

ws6 bs6 init 7 he can take on any single ic by himself and win 95% of the time with drugs.. nothig comes close

he will go first every single time

 

now for a set of ic's this may cause an uproar depending on how you read it

 

but 2 librarians and a chaplain in a command squad if you want to spend alot i mean a lot of points  they are hard to beat

 

 i wont go into how you outfit them but 2+ and 5+ invo and a few 4+ thrown in makes it tuff and not in term armor either

Oh god... I shudder at the thought. Librarian teamed up with a Chaplain. Give the Librarian Might of Heroes, Terminator Honors, and a Bolt Pistol. Thats up to 9 attacks, that he can reroll his miss on when he charges. Or do the 2 Librarian thing... 18 attacks plus 6 more from the Chaplain...  24 attacks with Force and Power weapons from just 3 models.  I so want to try that...

i did just that in a big mega battle i single handedly killed 2000 points of orks with that setup

went from mob to mob if i didnt kill them all in the first round i went first the second round to finish them off then swept inot a nother mob same ole same ole

 

works great just way to costly

2000 pts worth of kills. I'm guessing you more then quadrupled their value. I wouldn't say that they are "way to costly".

Edit: I have a mega battle coming up in a couple weeks (15000pts, 6 players).  I am so running this in there.

that squad was about 800 points

the command squad was all decked out as well

but it was fun

ok but what about charactors that have been written about. ie dante , azarail etc

Well although I love my blinged out rocketeer Dante is kind of a loser. every other chapter master has something better than a power weapon but not dante. Despite my generally low opinion of BT's I think Helbrecht is pretty tough (or rather his weapon is pretty tough) a S6 pw that adds d3 attacks? ouch.

And on the earlier tangent about the inquisitor with 5 GKT's on the inside of the daemonhunter codex: I always assumed the inquistor had cast sanctuary and was actively sticking his tongue out at all the daemons that couldn't see or touch him.
I'm guessing that's how Gk's could beat 100 Bloodthirsters.

dante does have furious charge. ok so all BA do, nothing special there, he has a melta gun, one dead enemy before he assualts in,
