Hey guys, I've restarted painting after taking a break for a few months and I thought I'd paint some of the nicer figures I have starting with my Avatars of War Dwarf Lord, which is a great model, and the BFSP Goblin shaman, which I think is a pretty cool looking little fella'

So, what do you guys think?

Awesome paintjob, but the colours are a bit hard to tell with that "yellow" lighting. Also, your image host sucks. I can't figure out how to zoom in, and it's hard to look at the detail when 70% of the picture is just the background (maybe you could crop the photos a bit).

I've also got a BFSP set waiting for me to prime them and your troll looks amazing. Can we see more pictures of him?

Thanks, the lighting was poor because it was night and I couldn't find anywhere that had alot of natural light, perhaps I'll take more photo's today while it's light.
About the image host, what is a good one? I've never used the Dakka gallery, can you host images on it?
And lastly, the troll isn't actually that good close up, the dwarf thing he's holding is painted quite nicely but it was done quite a while back and he's really quite splotchy.

But thanks.

Well, you might have never used it but you have 2 pictures on your gallery Just go here http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/gallery-upload.jsp to upload. After you upload, go to your gallery to the picture you want to post, under Share This Image you'll see a forums link just copy and paste it here. Here's how it'll look

Please spare me the comment, that paint job was done with a huge broken GW starter brush

I'm not sure, why you were hesitant, that troll has exactly the skin tone I'm trying to go for but can't Might I ask how you did it?

Also, did you use metallics to get that bronze effect on both the dwarf and the top of the troll statue?

I love that dwarf, not sure why but somehow there's an air of real menace about it, nice work!

Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman
