Hey Dakka,

I am currently organizing and preparing to run a Cityfight campaign using the current (3rd ed) codex.

Does anyone have any experience running Cityfight in 4th edition?

I'm interested in clarifications (beyond the faq), rule changes, house rules, etc. that you used in running your campaign(s).

Thanks in advance.

I just finished a Cityfight tree campaign (Nids vs Marines). Things to note:

1) Spore Mines are listed as causing d6 hits - but that was with the old large blast template. We used d3 hits for Spore Mines since the new codex nerfed them to small blast.

2) We found that d6 hits was too low for large blasts and flamer-template weapons, so we house-ruled it to 3+d3.

3) Make sure you note that buildings block LOS for several levels higher than their roof (due to smoke) - if this is neglected, shooty armies that deploy on top of tall buildings get too much of an advantage.

I may think of some more, I'll add some later.

I was the other half of that Campaign, another issue to remember is that you should standardise level height in buildings, we used 2" to make life easy and measure less.

Cityfight games also take longer to play.

Drano doesn't exactly scream "toy" to me.
