1. no. They all have the same regular save, as per the "close protection" rule.
Having the same Armour Save makes no difference. The rules state on page 24 that when a unit takes wounds from shooting, you begin by removing those models who do not get a Saving throw and then rolling for the remaining wounds from the models that are left.
So, according to those rules, you would in fact be obliged to take a Stealth suit first, as he does not get a saving throw against a meltagun, whereas a Shield Drone does.
As I explained in the 'Problems with the Tau Codex' thread, I don't believe that is the way they
intended for the rules on page 24 to be applied, as they are dealing primarily with hits from different weapons, rather than units with different Saves... but it IS how the rules are written. Just one more contributing factor to the mess that is mixed saves in 4th edition
