Is it possible to get more faith than what you started with? For example, a squad of sisters with a veteran got shot to pieces first turn. I started with 10 faith points, and when that squad got nailed, the veteran sister superior went with them. Does her martyrdom (sp?) add a faith point bringing me 11, or is it just lost all together. I took the least favorable option and just took it as neither gaining or loosing a FP, but I am curious as to what this fine shark pit of posters think .

You sure can. There is nothing that limits the total number of faith points that you can have. Martyr away!

You get the points before the game starts, and losing units that give points doesn't chage that. Martyrdom adds points, so you'd have been at 11.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
