According to the spine banks description, pg. 33 "...the same effect as a spinefist in the shooting phase, in addition to any other weapons used." (emphasis mine) the plural form of the word weapons suggests to me that the spine banks can be fired even if the carnifex fires two other ranged weapons. What is everybody else's take on this?

Seems pretty clear to me... spine banks can be fired, even if the creature already shot with other weapons - it supercedes the normal rules of monstrous creatures being allowed to shoot two weapons, and allows additional shots to be fired through the biomorph enhancement.
