Everyone shouldn't get too serious about the fluff for the simple reason it wasn't all thought out and laid down in some big plan 20 years ago. It's been made up, changed, developed and altered as GW designers have seen fit over the years. Gradually it has become more solidified, but we still see big modifications like the elimination of Squats and the emergence of Necrons and Tau in quite short time-scales.

Exmple: The Horus Heresy, biggest event in the history of the Imperium, was never heard of until GW wanted to launch Adeptus Titanicus and needed an explanation for where these giant "Battletech"-killing walking robot tanks came from.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

just finished it yesterday, and it was totally awsome. well, the disection reports were a bit hard to understand, but besides that, a lot of very interesting things about all the different aliens and the old ones. and the last part was just great.

I would be willing too bet that the racial choices they made for inclusion will reflect any future choices made by GW as far as which armies would be produced.

Not all of course, but giving the public a small taste of something is a good way to start a bit of internet airplay and test the fields how people feel.

It works, this is the longest thread here in this particular forum.

[edit] Whoops. My bad. I had no idea that the toughest primarch thread would still be going. I think I will stick with this thread.

well, since the Umbra are not really a challenge for the miniature designers (at least if you look at the pictures from the dissection table) I would say the next thing will be Hrud. Or a Codex with several aliens, maybe mercenaries.

dex' mercenaries would definatelly be something i would get.
Also a good place to put in the kroot, the tau vespids, eldar exiles and others.Hruds maybe too?

the new possibilities would be quite good (but only very limited choice for the marines d^.^ you know, cause of all the cleanse/burn/kill stuff) and interesting

otoh, the model would probably end up looking like the vespid line.which is sucky
