If Kroot mutate based on what they eat, what happens when they chow down on a Marine? More disturbingly, a Blood Angles marine?

Another way would be to simply slide the landraider sideways like a big slowed hovercraft full of eels. -pismakron

They would get a bit stronger and tougher. If they eat a Blood Angels marine they'd get those things but probably be a bit more blood-thirsty in their close combat abilities as well.

they would be subject to kroot rage, it gives the +1I and +1S on the turn they charge into combat.

Well you get Ork Kroot sofar. And in a WD ages back there was a story about Kroot who ate Slaanesh Marines and went all funny coloured and started killing their bretheren.

As to eating BA, I think they'd probably get some kind of vampiric thirst for blood and be particularly wild in cc. Although, AFAIK the Shaper can choose which genes he absorbs, the others can't though.

The Noise-Marine-eating mutation was likely more due to a Chaos taint in the DNA than from the actual genetics.

An interesting question: does the enhanced genetics pervade the whole of a Space Marine's body, or are the specific modifications limited to the extra organs and the progenoids? If it was pervasive, I'd imagine there would be cross-conflicts between the specialized roles of the genes.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;

Wasn't that an episode of Smurfs?

When soldiers think, it's called routing.
