Going by this trailer in addition to the link below the video, it seems like all twelve of the old guard factions have already made it into the 2nd Edition of Monsterpocalypse. Not only that, but we've also gotten our first entirely new playable faction in the form of Green Fury. Now granted, they aren't entirely new lore wise since they started out as units for the Terrasaurs, but still.

Which got me thinking, what sort of new ideas for factions would you like to see in future MonPoc installments? Any kind of Kaiju/Humongous Mecha trope you think hasn't been covered yet would be a fine suggestion in my book. Or basically any kind of sci-fi/fantasy trope that could be put to good use as an idea that can be conceivably used to create more Kaiju factions for this game.

A faction based on Attack of the 50ft Woman eh? How about a faction based on giant squids? Not the Lords of Cthul, but like giant squids, octopodes, and cuttlefish?

Here are some ideas for Kaiju factions that I've either came up with or heard about from other people.

1. Angels: Not only could they use the funkier kinds of angels from biblical sources like the Seraphim, Cherubim and Ophanim, but Privateer Press could also take inspiration from the Angels of Neon Genesis Avangelion as well.

2. Demons: The natural enemy of Angels should obviously be included in the game as well.

3. Plant Monsters.

4. Slimes and Oozes.

5. Pollution Monsters.

6. Zombies.

7. Dragons.

8. 1950s Robots.

9. Ghosts/Haunted Things, StayPuft Style.

10. Golems/Wizards.

11. Venusian Aliens: Perhaps they could be a more friendly counterpart to the martian Menace by being Protectors alongside Humanity.

12. Polytheistic Gods: You know, like Zeus, Odin, Ra, those kinds of entities.

Walking land masses could be fun, but probably overlap too much with Elemental Champions.

Two factions I heard mentioned at LnL were Space Dragons that hunt the Planet Eaters and The Blob might be a Green Fury monster.
