I grabbed the starter for monpoc because the origins of the settings seemed fun so using my knowledge of the lore around Godzilla monsters and 70s giant robot shows I acquired some toys to represent my monsters in special fashion. .

On the defenders side(guard) defender X represented by a revoltech gunbuster and some micro scale tanks

on the destroyers side a pacific rim kaiju 2 (gorghadra) with the starter box units.

buildings wise I used my geocrapers neon genesis evangelion city tile set with a few others (more on the way to fill out the map more).

it was our first time so we made a few mistakes but overall it was a fast fun game with a nail biter at the end where we got both monsters down to 1 wound. the guard force ended up winning. after giving me a "hulk smash" (slam) and a rocket punch.

Fun times all around.

Very cool! I've had my eye on those Geocrapers, from your photos it looks like they fit the game mat perfectly.

they do indeed, just ordered a few more to fill out the mat. including Tokyo tower....because you can't have a giant robot/monster fight without Tokyo tower.

So far I have an industrial block, a power station block a sky scraper, and 3 high rises for special buildings and 8 apartment building blocks

I ordered 2 more apartment blocks another power station and the tower. that gives me the max 4 per player special buildings and 10 generic apartment blocks. should look nice when I get it all together.
