I'm sure I'm not the only person with a Windows 10 PC (of some format) who is getting messages regarding an upgrade to Windows 11.

For those who have upgraded - or have a machine that came with 11 pre-installed from scratch - how have you found it, and are there any side effects from the upgrade process to be aware of?

This is, emphatically, why I will continue suggesting nuking Guard and starting over again. It's a legacy army that needs to be rebooted with a new focal point.

Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he want's Kan's New Model Army...

I installed it fresh so don't have any experience of an upgrade, but it's something MS are pretty good at now. I've done upgrades from Win 7 to Win 10, and many upgrades within Win 10 (hundreds - I work in desktop support), and it's basically fine. Not seen anything get lost.

Windows 11 is fine, I like it - but at the same time, I've not really seen a pressing reason to upgrade from an up-to-date Windows 10. There's a few differences in layout and so on but nothing that I'd really put out there as a pressing reason to update...

Many users who have upgraded to Windows 11 have reported positive experiences, with the new design and features being praised. However, some users have reported issues such as compatibility problems with certain software or hardware, installation errors, and performance issues.

I was an early adopter when it was first released. I had some teething trouble at first but as it has matured a little with recent patches and service packs, it's now much better. I prefer it to Windows 10.

Can't see any difference on the new PC for 11 compared to 10. The Microsoft store seems adamant about downloading a bunch of apps that it also can't install so that's a bit annoying but nothing massive.

I went through the upgrade. Had an issue with a printer driver, but otherwise has been fine. I like WIn11 a lot more than Win10.

I got a new PC fairly recently that I'm sure has Win 11 on it. The only difference I've noticed is that the task bar is centre aligned and thus the start button can move around a bit.
