So... long story short, had a few tipples last night and ended up in a discord chat with my friends discussing games I grew up with (while streaming the original Chaos Gate to show the millennials in the group).

Result of said drunken ramble was a quick trip to my GOG library, with the intention of redownloading X-wing vs Tie fighter now that some of them have gotten flight sticks

However, having the attention span of a sickly gnat my mind was drawn to an advert for a game that I had not played for MANY MANY decades and remembered has having the best (read: cheesiest) cutscenes of any game other that Red Alert 3 (SPAAACCEE!!!)

Game in question was Final Liberation, best described as Command and Conquer meets Warhammer 40k meets a Roger Corman production.

May just have been the best thing I have ever done while drunk Very much enjoying the game and have decided to try and see how many of the old 40k games i can get working on my pc.

So...I know I can get Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels, but what about the original game?

I have vague memories of an Eldar based strategy game but can't recall what its called. Anyone know? is it available anywhere?

Anyone else ever just had one of those ...hmm i feel like playing some really old games momments and then found themselves spending far too much time chasing them down?

Earlobe deep in doo doo

GoG has Chaos Gate at least personally I never liked Rites of War the Eldar game you mentioned.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.
