So I have been assembling my new project army which is drukhari. Since the day of weapon point upgrades on squads has gone and now you can use any weapon option available on the data sheet I have a question. For certain units individual weapons have now all been grouped up under a certain name for instance in the case of the drukhari Wyches they are now all just generalised under Hekatarii blades so you can equip any bladed item on the models you want from the spru as you can see from my wyche in the left in the pic. I’ve taken the same approach to my Archon who’s vanilla pose from GW is awful and as you can see in the pic I am posing the model differently and am gonna use a whip instead of his Huskblade on the spru. Will I run in to problems with this if I went to a tournament? It’s not like I’m running a bolter marine and claiming it’s a domolisher cannon on the end of his arm? I know his data sheet says a husk”BLADE” and this clearly isn’t a blade but it’s not like it’s in a squad with lots of different weapons being used and keeping track of what’s what? Thanks for any advice.
