I had to buy a tin of GW dice yesterday and have a question as too the 2 artillary dice included.  One has a the normal number the other has 5-10-15-20-25.  Any idea what this is for, I am certain Hellblaster, Salamander and Organ gun users would love to use it.

I think MM makes sense. I've heard than there's an alternate artillery die that has MM. Makes a lot of sense to me.

Yep, sounds like metric measurements to me, since 5cm roughly compares to 2". Why on earth did you *have* to buy a tin of GW dice, btw? For the same price as that one tin you can get two bricks of Chessex d6's. Were you hard up for the arty or scatter dice?

im guessing,but it might be used for fantasy.

Because I have 6 cubes of Chessex dice and neeeded artillary dice.  I remember for some strange reason that they used to sell those with the scatter dice in blister packs for 5 bucks.  I am also tempted evey once in a while to pulll out sustained fire dice just to listen to people ask me what they are.

 

Try pulling out some of the BFG special order dice and see what kind of questions you get.

Oh yeah, nothing like some wierd GW-only special dice from rulesets either long dead or otherwise relatively obscure. If you really want to flip someone's wig, show them the "vehicle/titan targetting' dice. You know, the two dice that have all blank sides except for the ones with up/down or left/right and for use with that silly targetting template.

Never, EVER! speak ill of the vehicle targeting template! My guardsmen are still mad at the fact that they can't kill the driver of a vehicle without causing any damage to the vehicle itself. Ah the good old days. When hitting the crew compartment actually meant something and games lasted 3-4 times as long. ...wait a minute! That sucked! I hate the old days, and the vehicle targeting template was the stupidest thing of all!

Yeah, Metric Dice might make sense.

As for other dice, I've more than once spotted an arrow in my dice box and accidently picked out a Blood Bowl blocking die - only to get 'attacker down' when rolling for where my stone thrower shot scatters!
