Today I'm going to try and paint two ships from Dreadfleet, along with priming and base-coating 2 squads of 9 Thousand Sons, in addition to (hopefully) finishing 8 warriors of Gondor with bows for my armies on parade entry. I will also be prepping my DKoK army for pictures and a post here on Dakka before they go to eBay.

Busy day for sure!

One of them filthy casuals...

Getting back to painting after a month brush-in-hand drought. Thought I'd start catching up on Christmas presents with a Reaper Nativity set for my girlfriend's daughter (figured I'd better work on finishing it up before starting on a Chinook for my girlfriend's Army-chopper-mechanic-in-training son).

working on some Alpha Legion Raptors, starting to paint my converted terminator chaplain (i've converted a thunder hammer into a massive crozarius), and working on another squad of my Alpha Legion cultists. also doing a bit more shading and odds and sods on Lucius The Eternal. I want him to lead a small warband at some point with a Keeper Of Secrets, a couple of noise marines (ideally oldhammer ones) and some cultists i want to paint up like extras from the rocky horror show!

^Kinda cool, i've never seen that one in the reaper catalog, maybe I'll have to look it over some more.

Today I'll either work on prepping some battle systems pieces, or paint my mars attacks soldiers and Phil if I feel up to it.

After a bad day at work yesterday, I sacked it early and just went to bed. Tonight I aim to chill out doing some painting. I have been working through a DV Box set I got in a trade with the aim to replace all the restic from Deadzone with some GW mini's.
So Tonights project will be some Terminators to replace Peacekeepers.
I will also undercoat some SRS tokens for Firestorm Armada during my lunch break and make a start on those.

On the side will be a bottle of magners Cidre and on the PC will be Black Adder. I still miss Rik Mayall.

Hopefully if I get time tonight I'll be putting some more paint on my Maghariba Guard. Nearly got the legs basecoated and ready for a wash.

Such a big lump of a model though.

Actually, it's three nativity items (The Nativity 1430, Shepherd and Sheep 1433, and Wise Man I 1437) with, since they only produce the one Wise Man, their Chronoscope Socrates 50135. Got a few leads on an appropriate third for the Wise Men, but from other lines/companies.

Started painting the second batch of 15mm British Airborne for a game in a few weeks, got the trousers painted and highlighted on about 80 of the swines..

Distracted by some 15mm models bought for DBA that have been gathering dust for a year, Hail Caesar arrived yesterday so they have been repurposed slightly. Produced from primer to just needing varnish and static grass two stands of archers and two stands of spearmen for my Normans.. Now just need about three times that to actually start playing.

Finished the base for my first Terrorghiest and glued it to said base. I also cleaned, sub assembled and primed my second Terrorghiest. I started to take pictures of the finished one but my camera won't turn on so I'll do that later.

My initiative for this project is the local Monster Mash tournament 2400pts of Army and 600pts of Monsters. This is the first year they've allowed Terroghiests to be selected for monsters.

Most of them are pretty easy. The mobile brigada had some small gaps. There a couple fiddly bits. Namely the antennaes which were annoying as hell and resulted in a lot of glued fingers
But other than that they were pretty good.

DOO EET!

I managed to break my beautiful magnificent SOTAR yesterday /cry. Fortunately I dug out my old airbrush and it still spits paint well enough for basecoats and maybe stencil work so I don't have to drop 30 bucks on a part just now. I think if I wait till black friday/christmas sale time, I can get a new SOTAR for 60-80 bucks from amazon and I'd rather do that so as to have *all the spare parts* instead of just one.

I also managed, just now, to finish painting my 4 remaining cleaned Mars Attacks human soldiers, so I'll probably try to dip those later so I can seal them tomorrow.

I also primed the three infinity models for my next diorama, it was my SOTAR's 'dying' act.
