Anybody else think that a user has posted a WIP of their latest sci-fi 28mm game only to realize it's the Maelstrom Edge ad?

I know I shouldn't get fooled multiple times but the pic changes enough that I think "oh, look that's a cool walker, alien, Lego guy"

I clicked the 'click here to hide this promotion' and it cut out the images (which I'd already seen by going over the kickstarter a couple of times) and left the KS link and text behind, which is much more acceptable.

I'm not going to accomplish my goal of painting all my IA minis before the end of the campaign, sadly. - You're WAAAAYYYY ahead of me now.

I went to the UK Games Expo today. Going to it on a Sunday afternoon wasn't the best plan, to be honest. Saturday is where it's at.

However, I got a go at Dungeon Saga before it closed and have a nosy at some of the new minis. - They look pretty good, the Moloch is a lot bigger than I thought. The dragon is rather chubby in reality.

Sadly, the game didn't dispel me of a couple of my worries after playing DKH: Green Menace. - That you can very much end up with irresistible object pounding on an immovable object. I'll need to play it properly though. Overall though, I'm looking forward to it and I really want it to come out sooner! We're only a month away from ending our Imperial Assault campaign.

But yeah, my loot for the day....

I've been a baaaadddddd man.

Ehh, you're probably trying harder and making them look nicer. I fully expect to have them done in June. Really, if I get these heroes done in the next few days and leave just the bland repeats, I may finish the whole box in under a week. Won't be amazing display shelf work, but it'll be a lot better than bare plastic IMO.

Spoiler:

This stuff is just going to evaporate off of the painting table, there's almost nothing to do for most of these models.

I'm not sure what all of those things are, but it looks like a sizable haul, enjoy

Molochs are big and the dragon is chubby? Sounds cool, looking forward to DS as well.

Nice terrain!

Want to crack on with the D&D stuff today. The Duergar are done, and the various Aberrants are in progress, so that should be almost a dozen minis finished today. Might also have a go at the third mission, having narrowly beaten the first two after many, many attempts.

As I know that I won't have the time later I've been sitting up all night writing rules for a scenario that I'll be running this evening. I mean I'll still be in a rush no matter what happens, but its one less thing at least. They're for including Artifacts and Anomalies in games of 7Tv from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. setting, something that's still early days for me in terms of playtesting (so early that such an integral part of the setting has only just had the rules jotted down).

Aside from those I spent the day painting up some bits and bobs. Some Stalkers (that I'll probably post when I wake up) and Rick Grimes from the Walking Dead (who I posted in my Fallout thread till I can be bothered starting a zombie one, though I'm not sure if there's enough interest here for stuff other than 40K to warrant that) were notable.

I also tried my best to cram in a load of scenery into the smaller of my terrain boxes that I usually use for Stalker and have now found that its just not all fitting in there any more. Bar being a tad uneasy about the idea of repacking the stuff later only to find there's no space, I take it as a positive note. I've bothered to spend enough time now on this project that I'm running out of space for it.

Trying to finishing these F***ing Greater-Goblins!!!

I have not picked up a paint brush in days, thanks to getting all morose over having to re-build my MacBookPro (the HDD went out, and the floods in Houston took out most of my backups).

So, I bought a new SSD to replace the old HDD, and then had to contact all of the companies that produced the software I use (Smith Micro, Autodesk, Wolfram, Microsoft) to get downloadable disk images of all of the software.

FORTUNATELY all of my content was saved to a thumb drive, so my sculpting and animation work was saved.

But the resulting depression caused me to be unable to work on miniature painting.

And I was kicking-ass at painting up until this happened, getting a couple of figures a day finished (although still not up to my expectations).

But... Now I am back at work clearing off a space to get back to painting, to finish up the Medium Infantry Hithaeglir Greater-Goblins, and the Goblin Archers. Once I get those finished, it will just leave me with two more units of Greater Goblins, and eight more of the Lesser Goblins, one of Snaga, and one or Trolls.... At this rate I should finish the whole army by the fall.

Moving to complete my 29th ID for a D-Day assault on Saturday, in fine tradition of cutting it close here..

One support section WiP, plus a couple of flak halftracks, because nothing survives a beach assault like a couple of thinly armoured halftracks..

Then one more support section to start. With basing will be close

Finished off the Duergar boss last might, so that's one more group of baddies done. The Abberents I was working on I'm finding biting as hell (though that's possibly my colour scheme), so I might switch over to the orcs for a change.

I also have a dozen or so Bones minis incoming, enough for alternative sculpts for every Party member and a handful of extra villains for when I start my expansion work for WoA. After the debacle of getting that posted, it's refreshing to order something and actually (shock horror) get it dispatched on time.

Well the Fallout 4 trailer's only just out and I'm already making a model based on it.

I'll wait till E3 till something really jumps out at me, as unfortunately at the moment that trailer didn't give any real clear pictures of much. Whatever, my next thread update will be called "Batter up" in any case.

Went to my LGW for a bit today, ended up walking out with Karl Franz on Deathclaw model. Since I've been home, I've got the body assembled, rider largely assembled separately and a part of the base assembled.

Tomorrow, hopefully I'll be priming the mount, rider pieces, wings and base so that when I'm done with my other "big" project, I can start this one right up.
