Nice! Tiny models, but good paintwork! Do you have models for the larger ships as well?

I certainly do, I have the Galactica, the Pegasus, a larger Battlestar which I've named the Heracles, and 5 smaller battlestars/gunstars. I also have 4 Cylon baeships with about 9 raiders and 12 heavy raiders

Just cut my last piece of 'styrene for a large, split rock-cliff. Have to pin it and paint it, but I have a good base. Not sure which colour scheme I should use. I have a lot of dark grey rock cliffs with grass tops. wondering if a brown, dusty rock would work for some variety or stick out like a sore thumb.

Working on a few commissions. A Stormwall from Warmachine, Rasputina's crew from Malifaux and an old Bretonian king in finecast.

I forgot how much I hate finecast. Next time I'll charge more for finecast.

Edit. Pics to come.

I've finished painting Nyssa Al Ghul.

But I really frikking hate painting eyes.

I shouldn't have bothered, and have just left them like how I had originally done for Ra's. But noooo, I decided that it looked too weird.

At least Nyssa doesn't look quite like she's wearing a bath robe as I was worried.

I want to like the Nyssa model but she has such a weird pose. Colors look good though.

It's one of those models that looks great from the angle it's supposed to be seen in and looks super weird from any other angle.

I wonder if it's a downside of trying to take a 2d tv screen capture, or drawing and translating it into 3d.

I found Nyssa's pose was much better in person, but yeah, it's a pain to photograph, hence why I haven't shown mine yet.

Today I shall, hopefully, be mostly finishing painting my White Scars chapter master.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Ahh maybe that's it, I assume some of the Batman figures only look good from certain angles what with the massive billowy capes a couple of them have. I kind of wondered why they'd have a dud sculpt in there with the other really nice stuff, must just be seeing it wrong.

Yeah, that Nyssa is a really cool mini once you have it in hand but an absolute pain in the posterior to photograph properly, it;s why I haven't shown mine yet. Awkward angle+predominantly black scheme means that you can't really see much.

I'll take another pic tonight of the 'correct' angle for it. It's just, ironically, the correct angle isn't the one that's best for getting painting feedback.

Barely still 'today', but I managed to finish off 6 survivors. Bit misleading as two of them were pretty well already done, but I've caught the other four up to their paintedness and now just have to hit all the eyes (oww!) and dip them. I took my first whack at flannel today and though it looks pretty shoddy up close, I think it's a passable effort for the 3 foot test. I think this will put me up to 10 total WGF survivors finished and with most of the mars attacks survivors (and novas vira) joining them, I think its time to knock out another 10-30 zombies

Of course whether I choose WGF zombie vixens or deadzone/warpath plague zombies, I'm still gonna have a lot of assembling to do, should just cave and pick up a copy of zombicide but I'll see if anyone wants something simple to get me for x-mas first...

Here's some of this week's commission work. Sorry for the crappy photos. My phone camera really sucks.
A Stormwall from Warmachine. It was a repair job as well. (wife's hand. I don't paint my fingernails)

Finecast. Ugh. I remember why I hated it so much. But the finished product does look great....as long as you don't touch it too forcefully.
Still, this is a great mini (in original metal) from the golden age of GW, back when this guy would have been the center piece of the army.

And now, something for myself. Order of the Amethyst Rose. Llaellese gun mages for my Resistance army.

Failing.

@BC: That is simply not doable. Well, unless you want to do an army with about 20 infantry and then ALL the special characters, that would be quick... but crap. I've found the key with IG is just to set aside an afternoon or a day, divide everything that needs painting, stick some music or TV on and then just grit your teeth and do it. They don't have to be pretty, just painted.

Got myself a killer deal on some Kabuki Models not-Primarchs earlier, their 'Vulkan' and 'Lorgar' in metal and 'Mortarian' in resin, all for under £20... and they had free shipping for halloween, so I saved 35EUR there as well! Sadly, their Fulgrim and Gulliman (the ones I really liked) have been OOP for a while and Sanguinis was still full price, but I ain't complaining after getting this lot:
Spoiler:

Now I just need to learn how to paint green for Vulkan. Did up a test Salamander today, but I'm not 100% pleased with the results.

Im switching all 90+ of my infantry from WGF minis, to GW's Vostroyans so that I can play them in store.... the thing I've found is that I need to buy one squad/one box at a time, and hopefully get enough of one done before the next set arrives that I don't see the huge pile and say "feth it"

I'm jealous of the deal on Kabuki. I picked up Phoenix Knight last month before the sale.
Very clever company in terms of how the models fit together.

And I have already moooostly done 40 of the infantry, the white row and the two Tanith rows behind them. I'm doing them to a high tabletop standard, and I fething love doing these guys.

The Leman Russ is just roughly blobbed in this morning to mark where the colours go. The scheme is again white and blue.

Spent the evening on something for tomorrow. Figured I needed a new toy. This was second hand, very dusty, but nothing missing from the box.

Today I am still waiting for email confirmation that my GK terminators, dreadknight, and that hobby starter set. As I don't think they'll get dispatched until monday due to the half term. I was also looking at what glues to get and maybe getting Tyranids to look awesome next to my Halo stuff. I think they will need some more Dakka though.

This Baneblade is called Puppy.
I bought it from a guy in Nottingham for £20, who was only offering collection. So I arrange a day and time, and unfortunately, he had to go to hospital. So he messaged me, "I left it on the porch, look in the box."
I turned up and there's this little shoebox with paper and a baneblade inside it, waiting. At no point had I actually paid the guy. I just walked into his unlocked porch and slid an envelope of cash under the door.
Only in the 40K community would someone trust me enough to do this. Or maybe he just figured me for honest, I don't know. He's not wrong.
