At a Place, Making Dolls Great Again

Working on my Pig-Faced Orcs from Splintered Light Miniatures (I think that's the one) got 72 of them so far.
They're a tad smaller then I thought, though it looked even funnier with them being so small and yet being rather uniformed.
I like to think that despite their tiny size they're still dedicated to regiments and the like.
If I ever play AoS I have some modded rules (namely goblins with better ws and ld).
Some don't wear shoes, not sure what that's about.

Gathering the Informations.

I had posted about the "Warped Painting Challenge" my local GW did and am finally getting around to posting up a photo of my entry for it.

The Painting Challenge involved each person getting 6 colors, chosen at random by the person, and using them to paint a model up.
These were the colors I had gotten:My colors?
-Hashut Copper
-Naggaroth Night
-Ogryn Camo
-Fuegan Orange
-Casandora Yellow
-Fenrisian Grey

End result for me was this:
Spoiler:

It was a pretty fun thing to do and is making me start looking at my painting projects in terms of how to do things simplistically, rather than the mixing and in-depth process I used to go through.

Magnetizing two HT kits. Mostly just arms. One on the flying base, one on the ground with magnetized wings. Long process, but I'm liking the customizability. Not liking when I screw up and accidentally glue a magnet in backwards and I have to pry it off.

Afterwards? Probably building another Crone that I have in box, to match my first one. Then a box of Gargoyles, some Ravenors (might make them counts as Shrikes), and then I'll work on my Cryx army. Woo.

I'm putting more paint on my Tau Breachers. Tomorrow I have a 40k tournament, and I'm taking my Khorne Daemonkin army. Should be fun, I just hope it goes better than my Daemonkin's last solo tournament outing...

Trying to decide on what to do for Azazelx's tale of painters thing. I've got it reduced to:

Kings of War army (or two smaller armies)

Squads of scifi (mostly deadzone and misc figures, probably scenery)

Moderns and Zombies (deadzone zombies, mars attacks, WGF zombies and survivors, scenery too)

RPG/Dungeon stuff including dungeon saga and bones.

I can't really decide. I want to work on all of it, but I need to choose one category for the event. Basically responsible for one or more units/squads per month. Any ideas?

Well, the tournament today did end up going a little better than my Daemonkin's first solo outing. I ran a Blood Host with Khorne's Bloodstorm. My first opponent was a Dark Angels/Black Templars player. Nice guy, but he had a relatively weak list, and in our game the dice screwed him over very hard. He mishapped a terminator squad off the board, then rolled a 1 on the mishap table. My Heldrake came in on turn 2 and basically barbecued most of his tactical marines over the course of 3 turns. At the end of turn 5 I actually tabled him, and the only units I lost were the Spawn unit that was running with the Chaos Juggerlord and my Soul Grinder, although I lost a couple of models here and there from other units. Basically my biggest tournament game win ever. The second game was against the TO (a good friend of mine) with his ringer list (he was playing since we had an odd number of players otherwise). Said ringer list was a mean Eldar list (beautiful Ulthwe Craftworld models, though). A Wraithknight, 2 squads of Warp Spiders, a big blob of Guardians with 2 Bright Lance platforms, 2 3-man scatbike units, 2 fire prisms, and a squadron of 3 Hornets. He probably took out half my army on turn 1 (he siezed the initiative, the lucky bastard!) while staying well out of range of retribution, and by turn 2 I just conceded as it was just not fun picking up my models anymore and not getting to even hit back. Game 3 almost ended up as bad. My opponent was running a Drop Pod army including a Skyhammer force, as well as a CAD with some Grav Cents, Tiggy, and Coteaz in a nasty deathstar blob (and yes, he got invis). 5 other drop pods had melta + combimelta tac squads. At least I managed to kill some stuff and my warlord survived to the end. The best thing that happened was right at the end, he used Gate of Infinity with Tiggy, and mishapped into ongoing reserves. Since it was the end of the game, I got Slay the Warlord from that. My only survivors were a summoned Skull Cannon, some Summoned Flesh Hounds, a Raptor squad, and my Juggerlord. So in summary, one game that was one sided in my favor, and two that were horribly one sided against me. I need to learn how to make more competitive lists if I want to do better in these things.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

Having verified I can scrounge up to 2000 pts of KoW orcs by borrowing some bones monsters... Need to make a list or two to give some structure to my paint queue. I think I'll start with a unit of dual wielding Morax as their ability to mulch units is axpotential lynchpin of my strategery.

Got another game of 40k in earlier today. I used the same Khorne Daemonkin list as I played the tournament with yesterday; my opponent played a Chaos Thousand Sons-style list with a blob of Terminators (and a Terminator lord), two small cultist squads, two 3-man Mutilator squads, two 3-man Obliterator squads, and a Skyshield Landing Pad. He had Mark of Tzeentch on everything (probably not a good idea at all, especially on the cultists). We played Maelstrom of War mission 5, and I won 11-8. I was one wound away from tabling him when the game ended after turn 6, but that last Obliterator just refused to die. The only major thing he killed was my Juggerlord, and that took almost his entire army's shooting, plus an assault from his Obliterators, to accomplish, but it did give him Slay the Warlord.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
