I'm going to finally start painting my 30k Ultras. Got the decal sheet, a pot of Astrogranite, some tufts and a pot of smurf blue. Time to get to work.

Removed excess Kneadatite from 30 bases this weekend... and didn't cut myself while doing it!

Surprisingly got 3 models painted/sealed/finished yesterday. Today I would like to push on to finishing the second and, for now, last batch of minis for my preservers warband/gang/whatever.

May also look into cleaning up the next wave of models (peacekeepers for TNT from various ranges) since I'm getting traction on finishing stuff and I'll need to work to stay ahead.

Anyone know a good source for cowboy hats? I could use greenstuff to carefully mimic one I already have and then press mold that...but the results are unlikely to hold up to a nice metal offering from someone who knew what they were doing.

There's a few wild west skirmish games out now. - I'm sure some of the plastic kits for like Wild West Exodus will have loads of spare hats.

I've ended up screwing up Poison Ivy. I picked up my generically named 'flesh' paint from Army Painter, tried that out. - Turns out it's a super pale paint.

I then screwed up things further when painting her, I managed to completely wipe out the greenish tinge I had given her with her basecoat.

Just have to paint a new HQ guy and my AdeptiCon list is ready.

Put a second-hand, finecast Alarielle in a jar of fairy power spray. I wonder what'll dissolve first - the paint or the resin.

I cannot comprehend putting 27 hours into a model. I'd go mad. That's an impressive amount of dedication to a single piece.

Today I finished my Reclaimers warband, I just need to let three air out and get them on their bases. Now it's time to make them some rivals.

My base coat and new base brush hasn't arrived yet. Got routed to the wrong post office, so it will be the day after tomorrow before I get it. Until then, my MOBAT project is stalled.


Was going to prime the old Wolverine I have disassembled. But we got a spot shower and the humidity went up. So, no go there either.


But I'm patient. The best things come to those who wait.

Technically they were done yesterday, but I got the bases on the rest of my Reclaimers gang/warband/crew/whatever:

1. Painting more of 20 Skitarii Vanguard and Rangers.
2. Continuing to wonder, "Why didn't I paint these legs before assembly?"

Put in my order last night for the missing models to fill out my Trencher unit (everything but the UA, which is still sold through stores).

I'm a bit happier with Poison Ivy now, I went back and put together a slightly darker shade to make the skin tone a bit less drastically paler in places. - Still not redone the green glaze, might leave that til last if I'm going to do it at all. Aside from that, it's highlighting starting



Of course, the eyes are going to really need some work on them but they can come later. I'm not sure what to do with highlighting her shirt more. - I know with the hair I plan on highlighting pretty much all the way up to orange. Shirt, I might mix a wazdakka / blood red together for the next highlight stage? - It's kinda hard to tell it's highlighted at all with just wazdakka red, surprisingly enough.



As per usual, I'm for any advice.

Putting together the last half of a Stormtrooper squad for my Guard (I refuse to call them Tempestus Scions)

seems there prices are really wonky but looks like i can get custom cut sabol foam for about 10-15 dollars for 1.5 inch foam or less.

Got a D&D session in around an hour. I have to admit, despite not liking D&D druids, they're rather fun to play with in 3.5.
After that, I'm thinking of field-testing a few fanmade Ork units, and afterwards, coming up with a few house rules for a GTA-styled Necromunda campaign.

Made a custom cut foam order. going to see how it goes.

so far roughly 15$ per 7.5 x 13" with as many holes as i want and shipping.
