I haven't heard much about this codex. Being a new SoB player, is it any good? Is it worth $9?

If you can get it for $9, pick it up. It's totally worth it for fluffnutters.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

For rules, its worthless. For fluff, its invaluable.

I dare say it had the best fluff written until the 3rd ed necron codex was printed, IMO.

The witchhunters codex only barely hints at was was in the 2nd ed sob codex. A brief outline of the Goge vandire's incident and the age of apostacy.

But Wiki, as usual is your friend.

I havent crossed checked to make sure everything is there, but it appears that everything in the 2nd ed sisters codex and more is in that link.

It's the best thing Gav ever wrote, IMO.

Plenty of good fluff in there.  Also, it focuses mainly on the Adeptus Ministorum angle, rather than the Ordo Hereticus angle, so there's a lot of stuff you can find there and nowhere else.
