What are the benefits of PCs over MACS?
Just a thought (since my old computer croaked on me today).

you don't have to use things like bootcamp to (hopefully) make pc software run on your mac.

I priced it out and checked what was available. I can't
afford a MacPro, but I can afford an iMac and a MacMini.
imac = I don't need a monitor, thanks.
Macmini = not powerful enough for what I need.
So I went to an online shop and bought a PC.

it is too late, but you can't run OS X on a PC. That's why I continue to buy Macs. That I can run Windows if I have to is a bonus.

A stable operating system?
I think most of my problems usually stem from hardware
failure long before the OS screws me over. Mac hardware is
a premium I can't afford at the moment.

Generally your mac hardware doesn't fail either. I've used Apple computers since the Apple II days and most of the machines I own still work today. Ofcourse there are very limited uses for such hold hardware (accept for playing all the classic games ) In total there are 2 PCs and 13 Macs in my house. lol. Anyways to each his own. If you don't have the money don't buy one (although they are much more comparable in prices than the old days). Usually what I suggest is for people to make their second computer(or laptop) a Mac so that they can at least experience the OS and software without jumping in head first and feeling overwhelmed. Its the comfort zone of switiching that most people are afraid of.

Oh, I can handle the mac OS (we have Mac machines in
the school I work at), but I don't think I would have bought
one myself at this point in time. If I HAD to switch, it would
be fine.
