I've decided to have a break from doing Da Boyz, so I thought I'd paint up Sodapops Raceway Sniper, Rin Farrah. I love the Sodapop line of models, this is my first one. I always paint something for my Wife for Christmas, so I've painted her in my Wife's favourite colours. These models are great I think, but are very small scale to paint.

I appologise for the bad pictures, but best I can do. She's even wearing red underwear! Comments welcome.

The eyes need something -- a black dot for pupil and white dot for a reflection -- I know they are very small.

Hehe yeah, most of my non-GW stuff falls of the page within hours too...

But whaddaya mean by small scale? They're larger scaled than GW stuff, though nowhere nearly as absurdly chunkily proportioned admitedly! (just absurd in other ways)

It's good to see some more non-GW stuff up here on Dakka anyway mate. I do like the Soda Pop stuff too, and there's some awesome minis in thier range (I was >< that close to picking up Rin Farrah the other day myself too).

Painting looks ok, plenty neat and solid enough for the tabletop, and the base adds a cool touch, Nice idea.

I'm guessing she wouldn't get an armor save in a game?

Great job, nice mini, but got to say, that is obviously a direct copy of Gurren Lagaan Yoko Character.

I thought soda pop had more original ideas.

Nope. Fantasy inverse armour law - the less clothing, the more protection. She's like a fething Terminator in that dress.

All of Soda Pop's work is constructed from anime/manga references. It is how they sell, and at such high prices. There are lots of otakukin in the hobby these days, and they are the first amongst many to cash in.

H.B.M.C. is 100% correct. Just look at how quickly Stormtroopers go down.
