I tried out a bare head look. I don't really like it, I may just paint it gold.
Also, I tried out black wings versus white wings.
Tell me what you think.

FWIW, I love the dark/black wing approach. It's a much better contrast to the gold. Looks good man

I dunno, I'm beginning to think it's the model.. I just hate it with any remotely humanoid face. It just looks like it should be knee deep in slaneeshy wenches (not in a good way).

Maybe if I paint the eyes. I'll go try that

Don't take my comment above to be in relevance to your model in specific, the whole pose/idea/design of that model is what makes me feel that way. Your interpretation is kickass

For sure, give the eyes a shot! Maybe a light wash on the face to pick some of the detail out as well?

Well, eyes failed. Looked wierd. Painted head gold, but it needs a wash to match.
Also, I drybrushed the wings w/ blue so they look much much better

Id say paint it gold. Although, yours is the first model ive seen with the barehead look. I think with the san guard and dante having death masks, this character was supposed to fit into that category as well. I do however like the way you highlighted the wings, that technique would look amazing on Astorath!

I like the wings, but I would make it gold.
