As per the title. I've seen the peter pig samurai rules. But aside from those minis and rules that's all the decent stuff I've found.

Oddly enough, I'm planning on starting 'Battles in the Age of War', only in 6mm.

Are you asking about figures or rules?

Both to be honest. I'd like to try out some armies with some figature proxies

There are plenty of rules you might consider, Fields of Glory, Hail Ceasar, WRG 7th ed or DBA/DBM to name bit a few.

As for figures, the best advice would be to try to get to a wargames show and have a nose around the various trade stands. Failing that you might like to look at Essex, Minifigs, Donnigton, Chariot etc.
