I've been testing out my orks lately. The painting is not complete and I am wondering if I should go down the feral road. Any ork players have any advice for me or should I steer clear from feral orks altogher?

Da Southern New Hampshire!

Go feral! Foot orks arent good!
Its either KoS, VERY well played Orks, or Feral Orks.

Feral Orks are broken like a pane of glass and a 20 story building.

Pros of Ferals - Cheap, still good cc and better shooting capabilities, VERY CHEAP pts.
Cons of Ferals - No tanks, more expensive guns.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

where can i find this KoS or Feral ork Army list... i didn't see it in the Codex

Please note - terms like 'always/never' are carried with the basic understanding that there are exceptions to the rule, and therefore are used to mean generally...

EDIT: The sites posted do not work, and the uK pdf seems to be corrupted and unavailable for DL.

Are there other links that might provide a PDF of the Army Composition?

When it comes to feral orks, just remember two things:

1. always max out on massive squigoths with three cannons each.

2. except for grots to screen, take madboys as troops with a pigdok with grots to pump up their strenth.

Pros: Fantastic hth capability, intimidating model count, Madboy hordes highly effective against dumb players, I8 Waaaghing warboss with a power weapon, Kannons deadly against light vehicles.

Cons: Madboy Crazy Test, no AP2, lots of Madboyz = sloooow army, trouble with elite hth troops, tooled Boarboyz cannot charge into terrain, lots of models to paint and convert, army designs get repetative fast, no invul saves, no hidden powerfists, Madboy Crazy Test, lots of freaking models to paint and convert, freaking Madboy Crazy Test!

I should be painting.

I just got the downloads on wednesday. I had to try it two times to get it to work, the first time gave me an error message 3/4ths of the way through. If you still can't get it, PM me and I will send it over to you.

Da Southern New Hampshire!

The madboyz only use the test on a 1, its like fantasy "animosity" and the Looted Vehicle Break down.
Only on a 1! and not all of its bad, so I cant really say its the worst thing there.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

Feral Orks are a great army. The latest Armageddon novel from Black Library has lots and lots O fluff about the Feral Orks which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The mounted units are really cool, which is the main reason I play the army.

Loved by many!!! Don't you know it too! Heh.

There is no 0-1 limit beside the Feral Ork Warboss entry. Does that mean I can have 2?

Also in the Snake Bites list it says Super Cyboars can be taken as wargear for the Boss, and Boar Boyz are common units.  Does that mean my Nobs can ride boars or cyboars?

I believe there are special rules which state only 1 Warboss may be taken in any one list as with the normal Ork dex. Yeah it might not state it's 0-1 but most Ork lists must be lead by a Warboss except KoS yet they may not take more then one.
