To date, I can only think of a couple. Bulders Gate and Expantions Baulders Gate II and Expantions Neverwinter Nights and Expantions (All of which where different games, right?) Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach Stronghold (DnDRTS from 1993) DnDRTS I can't remember the name of that I wasn't interested in. I'm looking for any DnD based RPG's that I've missed. I liked the system for BG I and II and Neverwinter Nights but their engines where not so hot. What appealed to me was the character creation options, really. So I was wondering if there where any DnD based RPG's that have the great character customization ability like those I mentioned, but perferably have better graphics, and include online (or LAN) play? I'd like to try something DnD like at my next LAN party but I think the major downsides I found in the above mentioned games would be a letdown.

I'll check it out. Anyone else able to think of more? Esp. along the same playstyle as NWN and the BG series.

Temple of Elemental Evil, when patched, is a good PC DnD game.

I've got to second Torment. If you can get a copy of it, definately do. It's one of my all time favorite video games. The character creation happens as you interact with people and make choices and role play, so that aspect is kinda indirect.
Icewind Dale was fun. It's pretty much a straight dungeon crawl, but you get to create your whole party rather than just one character which is really cool. More hack and slash than story or role playing based, but fun. I never played the sequel.
If you are looking for the D&D system and not necessarily the D&D setting, Star Wars- Knights of the Old Republic works off of the d20 system in the Star Wars universe. It takes place millenia before the movies, so is completely stand alone. I had a lot of fun with that one. I also haven't played the sequel to this one either.
One other second thought (third thought)- the Baldur's Gate games and the Icewind Dale games (and Planescape too for that matter) are based on second edition rules of D&D, so if you've only played third they may take some getting used to.
Okay and a fourth thought. Baldur's Gate, Planescape- Torment, and Icewind Dale were all made by Black Isle studios, so if you liked how Baldur's Gate played, you may like the others. If you like them, then I have to recommend another AWESOME rpg series by Black Isle that is completely unrelated to D&D- Fallout. Post-apocalyptic sci-fi. By now the graphics are pretty dated, but the character options, setting, and role playing are some of the best in any game I've played. Seriously. It rocks.

I believe the writing for Planescape was written by the same guy who did Fallout and Fallout 2? If not there were some very familiar elements.

New guy here, but I've never heard a negative comment about Planescape: Torment. GoGamer had it for $4 last year.
Baldur's Gate/NWN were great...I personally liked the Eye of the Beholder series...that was fun!

Knights of the Old Republic (and KotOR II) are also using the DnD (3rd edition) rules. It's an entirely different setting, but quite a fun game none the less.

I'm a pretty avid player of NWN. Not for the single player mode, but for the multi-player. I play on a server called Anchordeep. Extremely heavy Roleplay, with PVP. Closest thing to PnP D&D I've ever played on a computer.
Loved the BG series. Haven't really tried any others out.
