Now we can stop supporting companies for bad castings, slipped mould lines, shoddy designs, poor quality control, overpriced models and more! We can also put down the sharp blades, deadly paints and air hazards of 3D printers and airbrushes. A safer, cleaner, ecologically sound option is now on the market!
One day soon you will not be allowed to purchase and handle physical models without a license that shows you to have spent at least two hundred certified hours of model building in a simulator and passed an exam.
Certified assurance of skill and dedication will usher in a bold new era of finished projects and painted models. And it is these brave pioneers we have to thank for it.
This, my friends, is the future. And it is bright indeed!

This arguably the most ecologically friendly and efficient use of resources (think of the resources that go into all of the physical stuff people accumulate and throw away in modern economies), but I find it an undesirable. To hell with living in a VR world.

Dunno, some of the power requirements for server farms and the like suggest that maybe its not so good on the eco-front.
But also, yes. VR sucks and is also bizarrely inferior to just using a basic monitor, and that's before you get into the artificial feel and space limitations. What an awful concept, but for some reason people seem stuck on Star Trek holodeck illusions of infinite space and freedom.
