Are we not supposed to talk about this anymore, like fight club? I just discovered this game thanks to 1d4chan and it's been eating up my time like no ones business. Also, you get to play as Lamenters, how cool is that?
I'd guarantee you, that outside of /tg/ few people will have heard of this, given that it was a bloke on /tg/ that was developing it. It was popular there for a while it lasted, but if memory serves he ran into some sort of trouble with it. He either got hit with a C&D or made it more generic so he wouldn't get hit was a C&D. Or he got bored and stopped working on it. It was a long time ago and I don't remember any more.
It was reasonable fun once you got the hang of it and could throw some really wacky scenarios at you.
I played it for a while but mostly found it very tedious. Never really got the hang of it.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.
But still, this is glorious. I just played a custom Chapter to extinction, some five hundred turns of chasing green text around the map, only to suddenly get wiped by a sudden and massive Chaos uprising, suddenly. No problem, restart as Space Wolves because why not? I'm learning what they mean by dying from peace. I crushed all the Orks in like 20 turns and popped a Tyranid world from Orbit and now it's just chill. No Tau, no Orks. Saw a Space Hulk once, but that's like a Chapter legend now it was so long ago. I'm this close to just nuking some Inquisition for giggles but I know the second I do that's when a Hive Fleet will show up and eat us all.
Automatically Appended Next Post: So my Space Wolves did not get a canon ending. They were defeated nearly to a man on some crap backwater planet and the only ship, the only ship in the entire fleet carrying troops... got lost in the warp. I'm going to play UM from now, ironically.
