...with space stations, planets, wrecked starships, sf dungeons, etc.

The One Page Dungeon Contests are, as you might guess, mostly fantasy in nature, but a sizable minority of them are science fiction or science fantasy adventures through crashlanded spacecraft containing aliens, several very cool space stations. Check out Wheel of Fortune for a good, reusable version of DS9. There are also military stations, asteroid mining stations and many others that would be easily repeatable through any Imperial Sector, as well as the usual assortment of primitive alien worlds, on which your PCs will crashland, and have to swing their swords Jack Vance style.

Most rpgers will be familiar with these collections, but there are a large number of them, most of very good quality, and all have to fit on one side of one sheet of .8.5 x 11 paper. You can build a galaxy in a long weekend.

Oh, most of them are absolutely free.

First, all means to conciliate; failing that, all means to crush.

Heh, this is exactly the senario I'm stuck on with a case of writer's block. Thanks I'll check these out, can't beat free.

I think one page Dungeon Compendium is up to its... 14th? issue in drivethrurpg. You only have to pay money for, I think, the most recent and second most recent. All the rest are free.

I'm coming up short on techno-barbarians. Do I make them like Mad Max or do I make them like us?

Sparsely populated earth-like planet once colonized by mankind. The inhabitants devolved for various reasons into a few small city states and a handful of warbands, with some limited Xenos interaction.

One faction maintaining a higher level of technology, being the apple in the eye of envious Warlords.

This is the general spirit of things, subject to change at any moment. In fact I see two paths for it, my homebrew background, and a potiential campaign.

My vote? Knowing absolutely nothing about the project? Visigoths as a template. Heretics where the Imperial religion is concerned. Excellent fighters. Envious wannabees where civilization is concerned. Temuchin and his tribes are a similar example.

That's probably worth exactly what you paid for it. It help any?

I guess it's more of a question of what kind of tech they should have.

The link to my brew is in my signature, if you're super bored and need to kill 5 minutes.

I'll probably get to looking into one of these compendiums this weekend.
