Something I've been thinking about after looking at different rules interactions that I'm unsure about.
Must Jump Pack type units, Infantry and Fly keywords, move over Ruins using FLY movement and NOT Infantry?
Ruins allow Infantry units to move through them with no loss in distance while the Fly rule states that Fly must move over intervening terrain using those distances instead. So, does an Infantry, Fly unit move its M value, usually 12", or measure up and over even though the terrain piece is a Ruins?
Feels like it should be the up and over but just wanted some other opinions.

It's infantry so can follow infantry rule. Can also use fly rule to move faster to top floor if want.

This is one of those circumstances where it would be nice to know which rule holds precedence over the other. Maybe it will be included in the FAQ updates that accompany the Balance Dataslate on Thursday?

I am not seeing were it says that a unit that has fly "must" move over intervening terrain using diagonals. In the commentary it says that can move over them and if you do you must measure the path through the air or if you start or end you movement on a terrain piece. However, since infantry can move through ruins as if they were not there no would not be required to go over if you did not wish to.

Yea. It's rather pointing out if you want to go over follow same rules as others except you go direct path which is slightly faster than by foot(pytagora. A2 + b2 =c2)

I hope they can choose to walk. Flyers are weirdly slower than infantry in 10th so need all the help they can get.

This is the consensus on this one pretty much everywhere.
