Hi.

Can you use the grenade stratagem after a unit did an action or fell back or has any other restrictions that wouldn't allow them to shoot?

The stratagem restriction itself basically just says 'not in engagement range and not shot already'

Any faq I may have missed?

Most actions have the need of units that can shoot or fight to forgo shooting and fighting and grenades stratagem is used in your shooting phase. if you fall back you cant shoot, or the unit falling back has to have a special rule.

To my knowledge, that should work.
The Grenade Strat only requires you to not be in Engagement Range, and to not have shot.
It does NOT say you have to be eligible to shoot.

expanding on that. Can you use the grenade strat THEN shoot? (Since the strat doesn't say it counts as shooting)

Yes. As long as the unit is eligible to shoot.

Stops shoot and then decide you needed few more mw's afterall.

Similar logic as why no 2nd stratagem without paying 1st.
