Nice sleeves for cards for sure.

Naw Ultra Pro do card protectors. This could mean oversized ones to protect GW warscroll/stat cards and the like.

The main fail will be that Ultra Pro will likely have more protectors in stock than GW will have cards

Or its just generic card sleeves to put any regular cards in.

What do they make besides card sleeves? That’s all I know from them.

I’ve got those 40k M:tG commander decks I’d gladly resleeve into themed protectors if they made them.

I’ve also got some old aquila sleeves they made a while back I use for custom play aid reminder cards. Some different backs would be nice.

With the way GW is leaning into datacards and play aids, maybe some custom sized/back protectors for mission decks, and the GW sold cards?

Cardsleeves, binders, some deck holders and that kind of thing. Basically all accessories for major card games.

They did do them, one for each deck. They sold out almost as fast as the decks themselves.

I'm guessing they'll do tokens for strats, abilities, and status effects as well as themed widgets.

Considering the amount of 3rd party dice, templates, and other bits and bobs I've seen over the decades so that they match someone's army/faction, GW's been leaving money on the table. Not like you have to buy it.

Also GW getting other brands/firms to do it all means GW doesn't have to spend as much investing in all the gear. So its very low cost to setup and once the ball is rolling who knows this might mean we get way more faction and themed dice sets; card protectors and other gaming accessories.

As said if you don't want it you can leave it but those who do want it can grab it.

i agree with the sentiment that this is probably going to be stuff for other card games (that is to say, stuff for magic, but it fits other cards as well). magic players are always needing new sleeves and deck boxes, so it's not a bad idea at all

side note, i wouldn't be surprised if we got another announcement for there being a second MTG/warhammer crossover sometime soon, so this might be tying into that, as well

The announcement specifically states it's for 40K and AoS.

UP also makes playmats. Wouldn't surprise me if we started to get Warhammer themed playmats for gaming on.

I read that as 40k and AOS-themed accessories. nothing about the statement says they'll be making things for the games themselves

maybe I'm wrong, but it's a bit harder to think of what UP would do if they're focusing on wargaming specifically. sleeves for wargear cards can only go so far since those are always limited. maybe they'll be making table mats for 1k/2k games?

Ah, I got my decks 2nd hand a bit after the fact, did not realize they did that at the time. Thanks for the info.

Yay! We can buy card sleeves for cards that have been sold out and won't be restocked!
