Thanks guys!

And now they have a dropship to help out. Not sure if it’s map scale but it’s definitely not model scale

Beautiful group shots mate, the colours and basing work really well.

I love how the hazard stripes are shared across the bases for mechanical "facing" purposes but also incorporated into the colour scheme - form and function coming together.

Let's see where that drop ship goes!

I have a soft spot for Leopards. I'm jealous you got one.

Jenkins: You don't have jurisdiction here!
Smith Jamison: We aren't here, which means when we open up on you and shred your bodies with automatic fire then this will never have happened.

About the Clans: "Those brief outbursts of sense can't hold back the wave of sibko bred, over hormoned sociopaths that they crank out though."

Thanks both.

I saw someone online pit a few little hazard stripes on their mechs and it reminded me how awesome they are and how useful when considering health and safety around giant stompy robots

I got the leopard files for free from Thingiverse I think. I overdid the supports, so it’s not a terribly clean print, but it’s good enough

Right. The Mercs Kickstarter is getting close to the pledge manager going live, so I thought I'd play at some organisation.

My initial IS stuff is all pretty much finished (hence the green markings below), and amounts to a reinforced company. I got a bit excited and went for the Battalion pledge, which bumps me up to a full reinforced Star League Battalion! (thanks as always to Sarna for the references). I don't quite have enough yet to get up to a full strength regiment.

So I've tried to put some kind of believable order to the madness. 1st Coy is the vanilla boring dudes that usually get the short end of the stick. 2nd Coy are the heavy mob. 3rd is recon, and 4th is the random accumulation of other stuff that happens to be kicking about

Battalion also has an artillery lance, support vee lance and aerospace to assign as required.

I should also be getting 5 salvage boxes, but I can't add them in until I know whats in them, obviously

When I see that I might reorganise into an understrength Regiment, but we will see. Probably just move the extras into another Battalion level support organisation.

I will also have enough Clan mechs to make a full Trinary, but I'll sort that some other time.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Just realised I was missing some iconic mechs, so picked up the Armoured Combat base box and now have another 2 lances to fit into the TO&E! I was thinking about adding it to me Mercs pledge, but it’s cheaper and easier to buy it now.

Revision will be posted shortly

And here it is. Revised it as two standard battalion formations with some regimental support assets

Dear Mr Flinty

All of that painted Battletech goodness looks bloomin awesome. I love the paint schemes and the basing is really nice too! That urbanmech is quite brutal looking - you gotta love the hype train

Thanks Ragsta

Cross posted from the showcase forum for the record. A batch of clanners this time. The Clan star from Alpha Strike. These guys will eventually be split into a couple of separate stars when I get the Mercs Kickstarter next year. I have nicked the British army marking system for armoured vehicles. Diamond is the command star, then there will be triangle for a light star, square for a medium star and a circle for an assault star. In reality they should be hollow, but I only have the patience for solid shapes at this scale

TO&E to follow

And here are my two Madcats in their proper markings

One of them is small, but neither are far away

Inspiration and enthusiasm has resurfaced a bit now that the Mercs kickstarter is getting nearer.

Finished off my printed mech lance in the slapchop slapchop style. A Catapult and a Viking for some heavy fire support. Will join the Kintaro and the Vindicator.

The Owens will be seconded to my battle armour lance as a omnimech they can hang on to. That lance will also pick it a firestarter omni and the pair of hover transports from the mercs set.

And here is the printed Cat next to the current plastic one. Close enough for me

For my future reference, the Owens is troll green xpress paint with a Biel tan green wash and vallejo parasite brown pattern.

Also have the following on the painting desk, nearing Completion. Commando, battlemaster, wasp, axeman, cataphract, Warhammer and valkyrie.

Once they are out of the way, just the thunder out, locust, shadow hawk, wolverine and awesome left from this initial batch... just another hundred or so minis Coming along...
