Snowcrons - Necrons on Ice

== == Welcome to Snowcrons - My own personal take on the Necron fraction from 40k warhammer.

Having only been in the hobby since January 23 (being persuaded with little force by friends) and never painted miniatures before this has been a hugely enjoyable experience and hopefully you like the results I achieved after 5 months.

As what i think most people do, I chose to dive straight in with a theme that I found online and edit it to suit me.

Having initially started with a black and orange theme that was inspired by Tomb Kings in Space – Necron Dice Box found on [https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/blog/433826.page.</font>

I developed a bunch of snow "glowcrons". - Using fluorescent orange to really stand out under the UV light.

After painting several units and a trip to Warhammer world I was inspired to change direction slightly and move away from the menacing black and orange and create another sub-fraction of Ice blue Snowcorns.

Having made the bases myself using resources from youtube and information from Dark goblin miniatures [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML4W1zWOsjU I have developed an army I am proud of.

After starting with smaller warrior models and canoptek units I progressed onto ghost arks ( my personal favourite model)

With these being successful and looking to grow my army (and addiction) I moved towards the CTAN. I wanted a signature showpiece that would really stand out in the crowd on Snowcrons.

After some research I found a scheme by Jaymis Horsey which I fell in love with. [https://www.jaymishorsey.com/miniatures/ctan-shard-of-the-void-dragon/

After careful planning I was able to bring my own CTAN up to a reasonable standard using Greys, purples and pinks.

Not resting on my models I then decided it would be time to go further and paint more units. Immortals, Wraiths and eventually up to a new Monolith.

Before starting the monolith everything previously was brush painted. Once again after doing some research about how to paint monoliths and different styles I came across a video from Slayer Miniatures [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgEiLLwL3n4&t=435s which blew my mind.

Immediately I went and brought and airbrush and practised straight away. After a week of going mad witht he airbrush trying to learn and nearly giving up i Succeeded in getting some success out of it. Along with y new skill of airbrushing I tried dry-brushing something that I just did not have in my arsenal of tools and couldn't get right. using my new weapons I attacked my monolith.

The results were amazing to think I could achieve this after 5 months was madness but here I am.

The latest to be added to the collection is some lokhust heavy destroyers.

Now onto the silent king and any further units that I'm preparing :)

Check back for more progress.

I hope you enjoy the gallery and the process of some of my models.
