Background

I've been involved in Warhammer and Warhammer ever since 1987, starting off with Elves and Orks, when WHFB plastics came 60 to a box (10 x of 6 races) and Beakie Marines came 30 to a box. I played miniatures all the way up to 1994 and then basically left the hobby. I have since rediscovered "gaming" and painting due to my 5-year old sons, who are now learning how to paint, and spend hours setting up miniatures. While I still love to paint, my focus in producing miniatures for the lads to play with.

In addition to painting and the occassional gaming, I write and maintain a web site dedicated to teaching other people how to paint: http://kan.org/michael/mkp

Places I Frequent

Being in Northern California, there aren't a ton of game stores, though the two I've found fit the bill. I can be found more regularly at: Gamescape North - http://www.gamescape-north.com/

and less frequently at

Endgame - http://endgameoakland.com/
