This is a "Friendly" list (that means you're not supposed to critique it, right?).

Actually, it's set in stone at this point; I'm just posting it to see what kind of comments I'm going to get on it.

HQ:
+ Keeper of Secrets (Wind of Chaos)

Elite:
+ 6 Chosen, 2 autocannons, Undivided mark, Tank Hunters, icon
+ 10 Daemonettes

Troops:
+ 15 Winged Mutants w/ 1 icon;  Mutant Boss w/ powerfist;  Aspiring Champion w/ Undivided mark, daemonic speed, daemonic chains, bolt pistol and ccw (17 models in squad)
+ 20 Leaping Mutants w/ 1 icon;  Mutant Boss w/ powerfist;  Aspiring Champion w/ Undivided mark, daemonic speed, daemonic strength, daemonic mutation, powerfist and cccw (22 models in squad)
+ 16 Floating Mutants w/ 1 icon;  Mutant Boss w/ powerfist;   Aspiring Champion w/ Undivided mark, daemonic speed, daemonic strength, daemonic mutation, powerfist and cccw (18 models in squad)
+ 15 Mutants w/ 2 flamers;  Mutant Boss w/ powerfist  (16 models in squad)
+ 6 Traitors w/ lascannon, icon
+ 6 Chaos Space Marines w/ autocannon, Tank Hunters

Fast Attack:
+10 Chaos Hounds

Heavy Support:
+ Traitor Basilisk w/ indirect fire

And there it is.  Go nuts.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

I'm assuming you mean the mutants.  I'm kitbashing every blessed one of 'em (38 are finished, 18 are assembled and being painted, and 17 haven't been started yet).

I'll post pics once I get them all done.

Don't like it. It lacks purpose, I don't believe it would look like a real force on the table. At least stick to a story or some fluff if you are going to make a list thats "just for fun".

I like Mutants with Powerfists and even the KoS - it'd be in my list if I went back to 40K

Heh, sorry, the "friendly list" part was a joke; it was a reference to this thread

The Flying/Leaping/Floating upgrade, while cool, doesn't seem worth the points. As awesome as taking cavalry as a troops choice is, doubling the points of a model whose primary purpose is to soak up wounds is rarely a good idea. Care to convince me?

Why are you taking flamers in the footslogging mutant unit but not the cavalry units? At 3pts, it's a grand bargain considering how often the mutants will be on the charge (I assume, at least). Even if they're going to be "fleet"ing most of the time, I'm sure they will find many opportunities to torch the enemy. Might I suggest installing two flamers into one of the mutant cavalry squads to test their capabilities? (and let me know how you do!)

You might want to use more traitors in that lascannon squad. AT-squads are always attractive targets, and traitor leadership is awful. You might want an agitator in there as well.

Finally; What are the chosen squad decked out with? I hypothesize (that is to say, I believe this, but have not tested in battle) that chosen units are effective in only two ways: Decked to the teeth as a squad of 5 or so aspiring champions (with extra chosen as wound soaks) or decked a little bit and used as a sponge for heavy weapons.

That said, the style of your army is freakin sweet (I don't think I've seen a cavalry-swarm army before). You have got to get some pics up soon.

The reason I went with a bunch of fast mutants is that assault armies that move 6" and assault 6" don't do so well; see Orks.  I know it's not a top tier army, but hopefully it'll surprise some people.  Besides, everyone loves shooting at stuff with a 5+ armor save!  :-)

I've waffled back and forth on the flamers; I may end up adding some later on.

The traitors are bait, plain and simple.  The lascannon makes them a target, and that's less shots at my mutants.  They also have an infiltrating icon, which may come in handy.

The Chosen are there strictly for the autocannons.  I initially had 2 obliterators in that slot, but felt that the Chosen were a more elegant choice because 1) they're a touch more resilient (notice that there aren't many good lascannon targets in my army) and 2) rumor has it that the obiliterators are going to become a heavy choice in the new Chaos codex, rendering them unusable by a Lost and the Damned army.

Ah, of course, infiltrating icon! I don't use any summoned daemons in my LATD (just some nurglings at the moment) so it just flew over my head.

I forgot that chosen had to be in terminator armor to take autocannons, thus I failed to realize that the chosen are a squad of termies. Note that their armor will do them little good on the offensive because they will be behind the cavalry muties. Perhaps finding a way to assign them the "infiltrators" skill is in order.

Terminators rarely need to roll LD, and will less often need a reroll at LD 10. I say drop the undivided mark for the infiltrators skill, thus the ability to plop the termies infront of your muties. I believe it's well worth it to both draw attention, fire,  and more obviously to get into firing position sooner.
