Dakka Contributing Member - Help Support Dakka
The Dakka team strives to bring you some of the best looking and most efficient online tools to get the information you need on your favorite hobbies. Over the years many of our dedicated fans have asked how they can help support Dakka and keep the web site fun and interesting to visit.
The Dakka Contributing Member donation program is available to satisfy this desire. If you donate to Dakka Dakka, we'll make you a "Dakka Contributing Member" (DCM) as a thank you for your support. As a DCM you'll have access to additional services including:
- Optional Ad-Free Website. Your experience is faster (only quality content is displayed and downloaded) and there are no distractions. You can keep adverts enabled if you want though!
- Private Forums: DCM's have access to their own set of private forums for discussing just about anything.
- Custom Titles: DCM's can adjust their "Title" as it appears in the forums.
- Exclusive Offers: We have partnered with a range of companies who also support dakka, who offer DCM users exclusive discounts unavailable anywhere else.
- Sneak Peaks: DCMs are the first place the admin and moderation team ask about upcoming features and plans when public opinion is needed on matters of importance to dakka.
- Dakka Dice: While not a constant perk, from time to time dakka branded dice may be offered up to DCMs (and only DCMs to keep them exclusive).
- DCM Contests: We often get some good freebies for use in contests and run simple random draws amongst DCM users. Contests happen on average twice a year at time of writing.
To sign up as a DCM, simply login, go to your profile page (by clicking your username in the navigation at the top of any page), and then just use the paypal button on the lower left hand side of the page. Access is automatic and should be granted within a couple of minutes of payment. If you are already a DCM, donating more will extend your DCM access time. Paypal is the only payment option at the moment for the sake of simplicity from our side, though paypal will let you pay using a credit card if you do not have a paypal account.
You can even treat other users to DCM access if you want to reward them for anything they have done that you find especially cool, or if you have a friend you want to chat to in the exclusive DCM forum.
Remember that this is a donation to the Dakka Dakka website and that these services are a thank you for your contribution. We make no guarantees about the reliability of the service; however we will do our best to keep things running smoothly.
