Not a complaint but just letting you know the Description includes:
'This pack contains 53 metal models and includes 53 round 25mm plastic bases.'
The rest of the discription says 52 models, 50 plastic multi, two metal.
A little edit is in order!

Thanks for spotting the typo, Kale. I already corrected the description.

I totaly forgot about urban war. I have a rulebook and a bunch of minis from years ago. Never actually played it but it was very interesting. Great to see these minis coming back and getting more love
I remember getting those sets in video casette like boxes. Loved that way of packaging.

Hey, I'll bite.
As a starter box, this gives you what you were lacking in the old 1.1 days, a solid bunch of generic grunts to get to the table with little fuss for both sides.
I am still a fan, even after all these years. Question- Are we going to see the Viridian Alien creature transports with the cupola's and gun emplacements on their backs that were previewed back in the day?
Asking for a friend.

Awesome! I'm really liking the look of those Urban War starters, I always liked the miniatures back in the day, but never knew anyone who played. Looking to pick one up later in the month or after the holidays depending how things shake out.
Now I have several people in the group who will try anything, and barring that, I get to paint up some cool old minis that have some unique flair you don't see in too many ranges these days.

Thanks for your kind words!
It is a great thing to have both VOID and UW under one roof, as - in my opinion - both games are complementary to each other.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I spoke yesterday with our resin caster, and we have the first sets delivered, so I hope to get them available in our webshop before the end of the year.

Very interesting to see this underway. I've still got a rather large Junkers collection and as it happens, I pulled out some Legionnaires a week ago for a game of Space Weirdos.
Looks like the game and miniatures are all reasonably priced and I hope a new generation will discover these great classic minis.

I never got into Void but I loved Urban War. Are you going to be expanding the Urban War ranges at all? As I recall there was a healthy roster for everyone except the very late release Iskandarians or whatever they were called, but the game veered more intro Metropolis where you took your random gang guys as squads and used the big stompy CLAUs. Vehicles and the like sort of fell by the wayside as the game slowly disappeared.
So any love for the skirmish game down the line with campaigns, vehicles, new factions, upgrades etc?

I got the boxed sets back in the day, bought additional models, all the books, and it was interesting, but finding opponents was difficult. Put simply, 2nd ed. 40k scratched that itch better. No offense intended.
However, VOID figures are the foundation of my Eldar army, and I draw upon those Junker plastics for all manner of fun things, from Chaos to the stone-obvious Arbitrators. Combining their sprues with my copious bits bin, I was able to produce some bolt pistol and sword squads that work very well. Again, maybe not their intended use, but they have marvelous adaptability.
Excellent models, highly recommended.

Glad to see the Void project is up and running again.
Two quick questions- Are we ever going to see the release of the Neo Iskandrians for UW? I never even saw these available at Scotia Grendel and was only made aware of them after Urban Mammoth went bust. Would love to get my hands on them. They're these guys for reference.
Secondly, are we going to see more Koralon show up? I find that is the one line that is lacking on the site and I know there are several models from back in the day that haven't appeared yet for whatever reason. Particularity the second generation Larvans. You currently only have the first generation ones for sale and not the resculpts, which were cleaner and match the other purestrain Koralon like the Broodmaster and Phazon in appearance. These are another one I'd love to buy and not have to scrounge for on second hand sites. These are the ones I'm on about.
Thanks in advance.

The problem with Neo-isks is that we literally need to start them from scratch due to technical issues with moulds and masters. I got impersiont that they were a bit rushed into production and that caused some issues. They are on the agenda, but at the moment I don't want to promise and give any dates.
Koralnos - yes, they are on the re-release schedule, and we should have the first packs back in production and available from our webshop by the end of December/early January.
General Update
A quick update as we have added a few more options for the pre-order.
First, we know some of the veterans already have a big selection of VOID miniatures or that some of our customers would like to just get a copy of the rules. For those who would like to do so, we have prepared this little book bundle!
Second, you can now also pre-order just the plastic sprues:

Hi folks,
VOID
G.B.’s role is to work in the field with military forces, sometimes VASA, sometimes the other powers, wherever the Protectorate’s ends are best served.
G.B. Mora is our first new, unique character for the VOID. It was a model that sparked the idea of properly rebooting VOID. And now she has full rules as well, so you can field her in your army:

Most of the metal models do. It's probably a little late to change the 20-year-old plastic kit before it goes into production... But they were designed to hold their guns in one hand because they also have shields for their off hands.

Man, this is such a strong nostalgia hit. I was a big Void fan back in the day after Target died and left me in need of a small skirmish game to scratch the same itch Warzone did.
Still remember printing of the original e-zines the game was published in and binding them in duotangs (may even still have them somewhere). How time flies.
Glad this is getting another lease on life, it was a great system. May need to nab the starter box as I never got a chance before I-Kore's management cratered the company originally.

As Insaniak wrote, it would require a complet new set of tooling. Also, the models have the option to be equipped with shields and guns. It's not ideal, but sadly this is how it was done many years ago by original I-kore team.
The pre-order is live until the 25th of February.

Yes, it is a similar story to mine. It's very fulfilling to work on both VOID and Urban War.

It's the lighting. Presuming these sprues are the same as the original I-Kore ones (which I own), the arms are on a ball and socket joint, so it would be pretty impossible to attach it too low.
EDIT- They are, as S3b posted said sprues futher up on page 1 ITT.

Got my box about 2 weeks ago in Japan, was a lot smaller than i expected. Very tightly packed.
There were 3 metal miniatures instead of the expected 2. One extra viridian female Trooper.
One small gripe. Had some trouble aligning the 2 torso halves because of the 4 extruder inlets.
Are there any plans of new designs? As far as i can see what has been released so far is old sculpts.

I hope you are still happy with the minis, though.
The size of the box was a compromise between the cost of manufacturing and shipping, with shipping cost being the main factor recently.
The extra metal mini is a special promo miniature not available in regular sales and was part of the pre-order campaign. It is a small gift for those who participated in our pre-order.
We have plans for new designs. But we are still a bit behind schedule with bringing back the rest of the range in production, especially the bigger resin models. But we should be up to date with it around the summer. And have some new VOID goodies in the second half of the year.

Maybe a strange question given that the kits are almost 15(?) years old, but does anyone know how well the plastic Junkers and Viridians scale with modern plastics and conversion bits? I'm thinking Wargames Atlantic and Anvil Industry Regiments specifically.

Post by: insaniak
I would expect they would go more or less ok with WGA. Anvil's older stuff would probably be ok, but I think they've upscaled a little on more recent releases.

Wow, I was not expecting this game to be reborn! I was a fan of the original book's art/artist and bought some of the minis as well. The 10mm scale is an interesting choice I'm guessing to go along with Warmaster (?). I don't really follow small scale fantasy mass battle so I don't know if that's a popular scale/choice.

I don't have any of said sets to tell. But I remember there was a lad in our VOID FB group who did a lot of conversions using third-party parts. I will look for the pictures.

We went for a 10mm scale to explore possibilities given by the universe. And do something new and fresh rather than just another 28mm skirmish game. That said, I do have some plans for the classic 28mm range as well, but it is in the very early stages at the moment

It is a shame that the Empire Chronopia game did not get released.Would have been great to see larger armies battling it out.
The New Leviathan,Lords of Havoc will be along the same lines as the same writer is on this project.

Aye, Empire Chronopia had a huge potential. And yes, indeed, Mark Brendan did design both games, so yeah, there is a personal connection

I just had a quick look a the rules, I like the command point system.
When I get some mini's though, I will base on 40x20mm bases. 30x30mm for 10mm seems a bit too unique for my tastes.
A few things with the rules, I prefer cm with smaller scales. There is a CC stat and a number of attacks stat. I think these could be combined with the use of brackets.
Orc speaman for example could be CC = 4 (x1).

Base sizes for this system are currently being discussed on a few Facebook groups. a 40mm wide base, regardless of depth, seems to be a typical
standard for a lot of systems (with infantry at least) at the 10mm scale. I'm not opposed to going 30mm, but I think my friend into warmaster would be more keen on
giving this a go if you could just use some of his models initially without disrupting the intent of the rules.

When it comes to basing, it is always tricky when one introduces a new system. We went for 30x30 for infantry and cavalry, with a 50mm width for monsters and war machines (with depth being adjustable to accommodate the modes). There were two reasons for such a decision. First, some of the models we are planning to introduce will need a bit more space, and simply the Warmaster's bases would not allow that. Second, we wanted to have flexibility and freedom when designing a game; for example, it made the removal of causalities easier.
But I understand that not everyone likes it.

That could be a good way to go; I will make a note of that. I'm just finishing the updated version of the beta rules, and it is too late to put in, but I will have a chat with Mark about it.

Hi all!
It's time for a round-up of the latest news!
Urban War 3rd edition is coming soon!
Yes, you are not mistaken. As we promised last year, when we acquired the license to develop Urban War further, we were actively working on a new edition of the game.
New Urban War – Gamebox
As with our other releases, we are preparing a dedicated boxed set to allow players to start their adventures with our games quickly. This is no exception!
You can read more about the upcoming 3rd edition here:
https://www.seb-games.com/2024/09/13/urban-war-3rd-ed-is-coming-soon/
We now stock a selection of MP Paints
We now stock a selection of MP Paints, which are truly classic paints with a great selection of colours!
For now, we have only a selection of colours to kick off, but we will add more in the coming weeks. We also plan to add dedicated staters sets to fit our games and miniatures!
You can find the available selection here:
https://www.seb-games.com/store/product-category/hobby-products/
Classic Leviathan range
We recently added another batch of 28mm Leviathan miniatures to our catalogue.
Among them is the Talos (War Golem). It has been a long time since this model was available—years, to be precise! But now it's back in stock!
Check out the currently available Levitahn range here:
https://www.seb-games.com/store/product-category/leviathan-classic-range/
Leviathan: Lords of Havoc
We also have some snippets of what we are working on for those interested in our 10 mm mass battle game for Leviathan.
First, some bits of Mark Brendan's work on the narrative side of Leviathan: Lords of Havoc!
We are also working on another batch of miniatures, and here are my first paint layers on a 10mm version of Ever Hungry demon
That's all for now!
Cheers,
Seb

Very exciting! I'm impatiently playing games of 1st Edition while waiting for the launch of 3rd!
With the new starter being SioCast, are there any plans to offer the rest of the VOID/Urban War miniatures in SioCast as well?
Contrary to many players I'd rather have miniatures in resin/SioCast over metal, so I'm really looking forward to the new starter!

The short answer is yes. And, as always, longer is more complex
Generally, yes, we have some big plans for Sio. So far, I'm quite happy with the quality of the test models. The main issue folks usually have with SioCast is that the material is hard to clean. So, we aim to get the best quality casts possible to minimise the cleaning or mould line removal to a minimum. Also, in recent years, prices of metal have gone up quite significantly, so we need to look for alternative materials that are suitable for our needs.
The new starter set, together with some 10mm Leviathan models, is our first proper dip into it, as with our caster, we take a slower approach to ensure that the quality is there. If that works (and I don't see any reason for not), we will start assessing other models and transfer them to SioCast. The big multipart models are probably the first on the list, as no one likes to build big metal multi-part models
Cheers,
Seb

Hi,
We are having a small clearance sale of the remaining Black Tree Design stock.
Grab yours till they are in stock!
As we focus more on VOID/Urban War and Leviathan ranges, we need to make some changes, and we will no longer be stocking Black Tree Designs miniatures.
Please note that we do not offer back orders on those miniatures. What is available from the web shop is what we have physically in stock.
Visit our webshop to see what is still available:
