That's, I think, the angle of the picture. But I will check it

It's the lighting. Presuming these sprues are the same as the original I-Kore ones (which I own), the arms are on a ball and socket joint, so it would be pretty impossible to attach it too low.

EDIT- They are, as S3b posted said sprues futher up on page 1 ITT.

Hi Billicus,

We are working on the pre-orders at the moment. Some printed materials are slightly delayed, but the game box boxes should be cleared by customs this week.

So we should get the pre-orders out soon.

Cheers,

Awesome Job!!!! I hope to get some boxes of the smaller sets, next month, and one of those starters.

I still have a soft spot for the old metals, though. One thing I can say is that those Plastics will be perfect for conversation work and head swaps.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Japan

Got my box about 2 weeks ago in Japan, was a lot smaller than i expected. Very tightly packed.
There were 3 metal miniatures instead of the expected 2. One extra viridian female Trooper.
One small gripe. Had some trouble aligning the 2 torso halves because of the 4 extruder inlets.

Are there any plans of new designs? As far as i can see what has been released so far is old sculpts.

I hope you are still happy with the minis, though.

The size of the box was a compromise between the cost of manufacturing and shipping, with shipping cost being the main factor recently.

The extra metal mini is a special promo miniature not available in regular sales and was part of the pre-order campaign. It is a small gift for those who participated in our pre-order.

We have plans for new designs. But we are still a bit behind schedule with bringing back the rest of the range in production, especially the bigger resin models. But we should be up to date with it around the summer. And have some new VOID goodies in the second half of the year.

Cheers,
Seb

Urban War

Though few in number, the small teams of experienced elite infantry available to the Viridians on Kyklops have had a large impact. These Special Forces are experts in a variety of disciplines that have proven crucial in the current conflict, handling everything from troop training to covert ops. Led by renowned Captain Lee Hammer, supported by Urban Interdict and Sniper, this Strike Team is a deadly opponent.

This set provides you with a streamlined starter force that will give you a feel for this faction's play style. As you become more familiar with the game and develop your own strategies, you can add to this force with booster sets and blisters. Whether you're a newcomer to the hobby or a 'veteran' wanting to try out a new game or faction, this is an ideal starting point.

Rules to field this Viridian Special Force Strike Team can be found in BattleMag! #3.

Stuck in the snow.

Maybe a strange question given that the kits are almost 15(?) years old, but does anyone know how well the plastic Junkers and Viridians scale with modern plastics and conversion bits? I'm thinking Wargames Atlantic and Anvil Industry Regiments specifically.

Under the couch

I would expect they would go more or less ok with WGA. Anvil's older stuff would probably be ok, but I think they've upscaled a little on more recent releases.

Wow, I was not expecting this game to be reborn! I was a fan of the original book's art/artist and bought some of the minis as well. The 10mm scale is an interesting choice I'm guessing to go along with Warmaster (?). I don't really follow small scale fantasy mass battle so I don't know if that's a popular scale/choice.

I don't have any of said sets to tell. But I remember there was a lad in our VOID FB group who did a lot of conversions using third-party parts. I will look for the pictures.

We went for a 10mm scale to explore possibilities given by the universe. And do something new and fresh rather than just another 28mm skirmish game. That said, I do have some plans for the classic 28mm range as well, but it is in the very early stages at the moment

Oh cool, I'll try searching for the FB group then.

Looking forward to seeing the new Urban War edition in October by the way!

I remember learning about VOID/Urban War almost 12 years ago but I'm finally getting to play it now with some friends. Glad to see someone is still actively supporting it!

I got a moment of illumination after I went back home from aboard.

I do have, after all, the metal and plastic miniatures
So here is a first-size comparison shot of metal Junkers vs plastics Junkers

And here is a size comparison next to a Space Marine (or at least one of them; I have no clue about the current size of the SM).

I hope this one will be handy.

Seb

I love the Leviathan story writing.
I agree 10mm is the way to go considering the large monsters in the game (I think 15mm would have been cool too).

I have some Orcs and Goblins minis for the Classic Leviathan and love the way they fit with the Chronopia Orcs.
