IMDB Plot Summary
Right paddle guy (Russell Crowe) was just a humble video game enthusiast who dared to dream of one day achieving his goal of a gold medal in the pong olympics. At the peak of his career he thought he was on his way, after coming out of nowhere to defeat 5 time world Japanese pong champion, Pong Kong (Ken Watanabe) in an exhibition match. The babes, the money, the fame, were all his for the taking. However a crippling wrist injury prematurely ended his career and he was forced to work on the docs after his Atari game developing company folded in the economic crash of the early 80s. Regaining his strength, and re-learning the art of pong under his old nemesis turned mentor, Kong, he gets a shot when his manager gets him another exhibition match with left paddle guy, the current world champion Boris "The Belarus Executioner" Mikhalov (Dolph Lundgren) and manages a draw! Working his way up the chain, the night before the title event his right wrist begins to swell. With his love interest cheering him on (Katherine Zeta Jones), he will play the title match OFF HANDED against the man who once killed 3 men in a tournament after playing pong 132 hours straight when they starved to death! With everything on the line, there is only Pong. 2 paddles enter, but only one paddel leaves the ball behind.
Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, official score by Harry Gregson-Williams.
