I haven't played any games this year, but seeing as we're here

Play
Warhammer 40k (5th-9th) - Gave up on 9th, waiting for 10th.
Aeronautica Imperialis - Haven't played this year but something I am gearing up for again.
Underworlds - a very casual game with the pre-cons provided.

Have
Infinity - Cool rules, never found a group to play with and all my minis are from the 1st edition of the game.
A Billion Suns - Cool indie ruleset I've tried by myself once and never got the chance to play a campaign of.
Age of Sigmar - played a handful of games, the minis are more fun to paint as they're generally impractical to transport across the board.
Warhammer: Fantasy Battles - Skaven army primed and based in preparation for the old world.
Bloodbowl - Skaven BB team awaiting paint.
Kill Team 2021 - Into the Dark set, Navy and Kroot awaiting paint.
Necromunda - Squat team awaiting paint.
Blackstone Fortress - Never played.

Ogre's always fun.

And then there's Star Fleet Battles, which is quite the hefty game.

Aren't the supplements measured by the foot?

By the pound, actually. The whole rulebook including all supplements fills a 5" binder and weighs something like 12 pounds. That doesn't include the ship SSDs, which are another four-inch binder's worth.

Now having scared everyone, the VAST majority of it is either optional, or nation-specific, or about how various optional rules interact. If you're using a Federation or Klingon ship in a generic duel, you only use about 10% of the rules at most. It's also a fairly large print, and cross-referenced out the wazoo. I suspect something over 10% of the text is the cross-references to other rules.

The a lot of the core rules are also fairly intuitive once you actually start playing, and a LOT of the information you use in play is on the ship SSDs, so it's not as clunky as you would expect from that many rules. You generally only need to refer to the rulebook for edge cases that don't come up all that often.

There's also ZERO ambiguity. Everything is spelled out in detail. If two things interact, the rules spell out HOW they interact. No GW style ambiguity and coin tosses in SFB.

Having said THAT, it's not a fast game to play either...

I didn't list it, because I haven't played it recently, but Star Fleet Battles is one of my all time faves for sure. Interesting to see a few other folks include it.

And I agree, while the rulebook is massive, I'd say 80% of it is referenced pretty rarely, but there are detailed, clear rules for nearly every situation you might encounter. If you're not playing near a black hole and wondering how that impacts the asteroid field while you're hanging out in a nearby nebula, well, you don't need those rule sections.

I do have a bunch of models for it, since you could theoretically also use them for A Call to Arms: Star Fleet, but I never played that version of the rules. I have used the models a few times on the regular big hex map (Mega Hex), but haven't tried the hexless version of the rules yet.

Rather defeats the purpose of playing a boardgame instead of a computer game.

I do things a bit backwards in that generally I get interested in a set of rules that I already have suitable figures for or get interested in a line or type of miniatures and then I may go through several sets of rules as I find the ones I like best. I've divided out the following rulesets, but I still have them all and the ability to play them if I want.

Miniature Wargames I've played in the past few years and are most likely to be played again.
Absolute Favorites noted with " " but I 'd be happy to play any of these most anytime.

Kings of War
Dogs and The Dust (a member's si-fi ruleset)
Ye Dogs and Ye Dust (Member's ruleset)
Konflikt 47
Grimdark Future
Grimdark Future Firefight
Kings of War
Mech Attack (in 28mm and 10mm)
Alpha Strike
Space Wierdos
Dragon Rampant
Song of Blades and Heroes
Space Station Zero
Necromunda (NCE version of original rules)

Miniature Wargames I've played in the past decade or so. A few of these are likely to be played again when I get the itch but most have been surpassed by rule sets above.
Frostgrave
Advanced Heroquest
Open Combat.
Warengine/Shockforce
First edition Warpath
Advanced Song of Blades and Heroes
Tales of Blades and Heroes
Of Gods and Mortals
Neutron York
Nuclear Renaissance
Wasteland (1.2 and Meltdown)
Tomorrow's War
Panzer 8 Sci-Fi
Warhammer 40k 2nd-5th edition
This is not a Test
Wreck Age
Full Thrust
Star Crashers
Runewars
Supersystem
Blasters and Bulkheads
LoTR SBG
In the Emperor's Name

Then I've probably got a dozen or so sets of rules that I've never played and never will, and a further half dozen that I'd like to try! (Turnip 28, Sword Wierdos, Age of Fantasy, etc)

The moral of my story is that -if you're not locked into games with very specific miniatures- once you get a few armies and a half dozen warbands painted up, you can play your way through dozens and dozens of great rulesets.

Based on how I see people treat Football, I'm inclined to say yes.

Also the topic is probably something more along the lines of Table Top Miniatures games but there's never been a proper label without getting into some pointless semantic arguments.

Ok, so...

Warhammer 40,000
Necromunda
Battletech
Warhammer Quest (OG 90's Quest)
Blood Bowl
The Horus Heresy

And I could probably form some semblance of Chaos army for Age of Sigmar if I wanted to. And Kill-Team, if I cared about Kill-Team. I have a huge AT-43 Therian army, but no desire to play AT-43 (I just liked the minis).

The other big things - Space Hulk, Zombicide and the various 40k RPGs - aren't wargames, but board games/role playing games.

Are we supposed to add dungeon crawl board games as well? Because that's like another full shelf of games for me (Machina Arcana, Gloomhaven, Massive Darkness, waiting for Tidal Blades 2 ...does Mage Knight count? Do Hunters AD2114?)

I don't keep models for games I don't play so for example I used to have 7 40k armies, now I have none.

I only play and own models for now:
-Warmachine
-A Song of Ice and Fire

and recently Kill Team, which surprised me greatly by being a relatively elegant and modern design despite being a GW game.

I get rid of things I don't use (not just to save shelf space, but just to have a less cluttered life in general) so I only have models for games I currently play. Which are
-Warmachine
-Kill Team

A lot of armies for games I realised I was unlikely to play again (for example 8 fully painted 40k armies and 4 fulle painted WFB armies) just went to the great eBay in the sky.

Frankly, the only thing that keeps my 40K collection around and active is One Page Rules. I have collected and painted GW minis for 30 years, but haven't played any of their main games since about 2010.

I play and collect tons of skirmish games lately, as especially since having kids I do not have the time or stamina to paint army-scale games. Lots of my collection is made up of probably at least a dozen-plus indie minis-agnostic rulesets, which are great for sharing minis to making the most of a collection.

-Song of Blades and Heroes
-Draculas America
-This is not a Test
-Brutality
-Gaslands

Battletech (both Total Warfare and Alpha Strike) has been a great renaissance for getting me back into painting and gaming. I have always been "Battletech adjacent" since about the mid-90, when I playerd some of the PC games, and then the Dark Age clix. Every once in a while I ended up with the metal or resin minis, but I always HATED the bad sculpts.

War games I play:
Age of Sigmar - Ogors, SBGL, Slaves, Maggotkin, Hedonites, Beastmen, and Orruk Kruleboyz.
Horus Heresy - Dark Angels, Custodes, and Space Wolves
Necromunda - Van Saar
WarCry - multiple factions

War games I own but don't play:
War machine/Hordes - Skorne and Cygnar
Warhammer 40K - Black Templar, Space Wolves, Imperial Guard, Ultramarines, Dark Angels, Death Guard, Word Bearers, Eldar
Blood Bowl - New Ork Giants, Drakenhof Jaguars (human team)
D&D - mainly just the books
Mordheim - Dark Elf pirates. They were all named after accounting firms. Captain A. Anderson, Assassin designation KPMG, First Mate G. Thornton, Gunnery Sgt. Ernst, Gunner Young, Assassin designation RSM, Juvies Price, Waterhouse, Coopers, and Beast Handler Deloitte with Cold One "Tomahatsu". I had a banner that read, "Sailing the Seas of Accountancy".

Stuff I've sold/ given away recently:
All of my D&D models, I've just kept ~5-10 models from when I started playing and painting models 25+ years ago. Just kept certain characters I liked to role play when I was 13-15.
All of my battle tech stuff from the early 90s
Several 40k and AOS armies from boxes I didn't want to play but bought the box intending to do something with it. Necrons, Orks, Ossiarch Bone Reapers, Storm Cast, Night Haunt, Lumineth.
The GW board game - Briar Queen and Storm Cast. Name escapes me - it was fun but finding an opponent was difficult.

At the moment I'm playing:
Grimdark Future 2nd Edition (I didn't make the jump to the newest version). Really enjoy this, breathed a lot of life back into the hobby for me. Got 4 largish armies done in the past few years, and have got more games in than in the previous decade.
LOTR SBG. My wargaming buddy said he would like to play something cinematic, and I was on a huge tolkien kick due to listening to everything on audiobook, so we got into this. So far going great, and reminding me what an awesome game it is. I've been touching up old paint jobs and sorting minis and it's all very satisfying.
Age of Fantasy. Played some games of this with my buddy and my wife, and generally enjoy it. I think it's a little less than Grimdark Future just due to the nature of the units mostly just being equipped with the same stuff, and it lacking the rank and flank element.

Own:
Warhammer 40K 3e - got rid of all my Warhammer 40K rules ages ago, but bought just the Big Black Book for this edition. I like stuff that's "a game in a book" and this is the era of 40K I suppose I'm the most nostalgic for. Haven't played it again yet though!
Kings of War 2e - played some games of this maybe 8 years ago? Really liked it, but haven't done much with it since.
Celtos - owned it for ages, never played it. Not sure if I ever will now! I do love their Formorian faction in concept though.
Warlords of Erehwon- would love to play this but think it might be a bit too crunchy for my current potential opponents.
Frostgrave/Ghost Archipeligo/Stargrave - someday I'll do a campaign of one of these. The big downer is the way you need very specific terrain pieces for the games. It's a lot of prep!
Rangers of the Shadowdeep - I've a lovely edition of this and really want to give it a proper go, but again the need for specific terrain is a bit of a blocker.
Oathmark - Got this on hearing it was great, looks okay, but generally not blown away by it. Wish there was a bit more heart to it, like Warlords of Erehwon.
5 Leagues from the Borderlands/5 Parsecs From Home - two lovely books that are fun to read. I was surprised by how specific the settings were though in some ways. Hopefully I'll get round to these at some stage too.
Hail Caesar - This is really high up my list of stuff I want to play. I've done a simple adaption to turn some historical lists into LOTR lists (nothing exciting, like I just sub elephants for large trolls and chariots for units of smaller trolls for example, and the rest is just finding army lists that suit - Vikings for Dwarves, Welsh for Elves and so on). I really want to play some of the big battles from Middle Earth like the Pelennor Fields, the Battle of Sudden Fire or especially the Battle of Five Armies (what a shame we never really got this properly with the Hobbit game). I also want to use it for what it's actually for, of course!
Pike and Shotte - waaaay on the backburner, I'd like to get some 30 Years War or Cromwellian Ireland stuff done, but maybe that's for a future where I have my own house and a lot more space for all the scenery I'd need to make to make this fit what I'd want from it.
SAGA - I was really excited about this for a while, but the really expensive special dice ended up putting paid to my plans. Maybe I'll go back to it at some point - Celts Vs. Vikings Vs. Normans is essentially the history of my home region.
Edit: Whoops, I forgot - I have Warmachine and Hordes Mk1 and Mk2. I have a bunch of the Mk2 factions for Hordes (Trolls, Everblight, Gators, a small amount of Circle) and mildly regret not getting Skorne when my shop sold off it's stock. I really liked the game in Mk2 and think small games of the system are actually pretty fun intro to wargaming for roleplayers. But I sort of fell off the wagon at Mk3 (I hate systems that push you into "themed" lists the way they do, I like having freedom of choice in my selections) and haven't played in a long time. I've been repairing and painting some of my stuff though, for use in D&D and Age of Fantasy mostly, and I think the minis are really cool.

I think that's it? I've become a big fan of "complete" games that are mostly playable out of one big book. The whole "new releases and new meta" side of games really doesn't appeal to me any more, especially given the ability of the collective internet brain to "solve" games like that really fast and then communicate the solution to the community. I'm having fun messing with out of date games with no real online community and just exploring them with my friend like I used to when I was a kid.
