Daemons provide no nourishment to tyranids so if their forces can be separated from the main hive then daemons have an edge as they will just return to the warp and then rematerialise

Doesn’t the warp shadow cast by the hive fleet affect the ability for warp spawn to manifest?

I think we will learn more about the nids and find out they are desperate for bio mass after spending so long in between galaxies. The warp starts will make it harder for them to locate targets and do the hive fleets will turn on each other in competition for resources

Rematerialization requires power, and it much harder to do in areas affected by the Shadow in the Warp.

In theory there are an infinite amount of daemons, but in practice they are quite limited when it comes to materializing.

Daemons can be effective against Tyranids, but requires something or someone else providing the power needed for their materialization

It does.

The shadow in the warp is sort of an anti-chaos. It causes a disruptive "static" effect on the warp, and since the warp is divided and chaotic it can't organize itself to counter the Shadow in the Warp caused by the Hive Mind.

Its sort of the difference between a Hurricane and a normal storm. A hurricane is overwhelming force directed in a specific direction, while a normal storm is more chaotic and unpredictable. And even if a hurricane runs into multiple storms it will simply overwhelm them and swallow them whole.

Daemons could probably still manifest, but they are going to be weakened and have little connection to the warp directly, and when the Hive Mind directs its thoughts directly at a daemon it could probably purge it quite easily.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.
